Rather than sitting on the fence trying to explain before they get on, I just throw them on and let them truly feel how to control the horses.

All of us pitched ideas and worked off each other to finally decide that we would be able to take them out on the covered wrap-around porch while it's raining, and also do fun body-moving-dances.

This is strengthening their fine motor abilities and setting them up for more real interactions, like holding a pencil or learning to cut/glue with steady fingers.

- In math, learning about measurements was always something I could put a creative spin on. While cooking, you have to know how to convert cups/ounces/etc., and painting a room involved the knowledge of square footage. Since I am a Human Development Major, I must be trying to fulfill my goal of learning the most I can about early child development. All of the learning in those classes seems to come more natural to me.
