One useful and interesting point of the tufting event was the hands-on delivery mode. The instructor demonstrated each step clearly, from setting up the tufting needle to finishing the piece, which made it easy to follow. The pacing was comfortable and allowed participants to ask questions while practicing, making the learning experience engaging and less stressful for beginners.

One change I would consider is allowing slightly more time for the finishing process, such as trimming and backing. This part felt a bit rushed, and additional guidance would help participants achieve a neater final product.

I am interested in workshops which are more hands on like this tufting activity. i’m also interested in talks which assist students on how to start small businesses for selling handmade products.

2. One change I would consider is making the duration and timing of the activity more flexible. Many students may not be available during the Wednesday activity session due to other commitments. While the activity has to remain on Wednesday, it could be organised during students’ lunch breaks, such as from 1–2pm, or later in the evening after 6pm. This would allow more students to participate without affecting their other responsibilities.

3. I am interested in self-improvement talks that focus on how to improve oneself and develop useful skills. I would also like talks that share online platforms or resources where students can learn soft skills and adopt positive mindsets that help them achieve their goals. In addition, I am interested in hands-on workshops related to crafts, especially crafts that involve upcycling materials.

One improvement would be to have more instructors to better assist students, as it can be difficult for one instructor to guide a large group. Another change could be offering the activity at different times, such as during lunch breaks or in the evening, so more students can attend.

I am interested in workshops that help students learn practical life skills. I would also like talks on building confidence, managing stress, and improving communication skills, as these are useful for both school and future work environments.

2. One change I would consider making is to decrease the duration of the programme as 2.5h felt quite long especially if we have assignments to do after school as well. To help us quicken the process of hand tufting, we can also consider inviting more teachers to help us so we can speed things up and complete the craft on time.

3. I am interested in any talks that teaches us about how to handle / control our feelings and emotions. As well as workshops on how to improve our teamwork and communication skills.

With only one instructor guiding many students, it can be difficult for everyone to receive enough help, especially beginners who may need more guidance. Sometimes students have to wait before getting assistance, which can slow down their progress. Having more instructors would allow students to get help more quickly and finish their work faster.

3. I am interested in talks on starting my own business. These talks can teach me how to turn ideas into a business, manage money, and promote products or services. Listening to real-life experiences can also help me avoid mistakes. It would inspire me to be creative and confident in starting my own business.
