Also, moving during labor also helps with fetal descent and labor progression. Lastly, traditional monitors that are strapped to the belly are uncomfortable, need to be readjusted frequently requiring more attention from staff, and also they need to be unplugged periodically for times like the patient needing to go to the bathroom, etc. so complications could be missed.
