<description>Write whether you think the data is an example of a political protest or a nonexample. Use what you learned in class and reference the critical attributes we discussed for political protests to back up your answer. Collaborate with your group and write what changes would have to be made to the nonexample to change them into examples. </description>

<title>Example 1- On February 14, 2018, 17 students and teachers or Stoneman Douglas Highschool were murdered. After this horrific event, students from Stoneman Douglas planned “March for Our Lives” to advocate against gun violence. Marches were held all over the country where students, leaders, and even celebrities came to support the cause. Thousands flooded the streets with signs advocating for change and speakers spread their message for their movement. There was also a national school walkout where students and teachers together would walk out of their school to spread their message. <title>Example 3- San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick sat down during the national anthem first in 2016 to advocate against police brutality and racism. Since then many other players in the NFL and outside of the NFL have joined Kaepernick in first sitting and then kneeling while the anthem is being played. This has caused controversy, while many people have spoken out in support of what was done and others who are against the actions. <title>Example 4- On May 1, 1970, hundreds of Kent State students gathered to advocate on campus against the Vietnam War after President Nixon called for an invasion in Cambodia. The National Guard was called in the second day as students were setting fires to the ROTC building. On May 4th, thousands of students came together as the National Guard was trying to get the crowd to disperse. Tear gas was sent into the crowds of students and shots were fired into the air, but also at the crowd. Four students were dead in result of the shooting. </title>
