However, personally I feel they lack the ability to distinguish between the Sahih/Hassan hadith and the Dai'f/Mawdu' hadith. Thus, the importance of striving to seek for understanding from the well-learned. <br><br><strong>Qn 5) Definition</strong><br>a. Muwatta’: Hadith arranged to Islamic rulings compiled by Imam Malik<br>b. Musannaf: Arrangement of hadith according to topic<br>c. Rasai’il: Collections of hadith that deal with one particular topic out of the eight topics that may be generally classified in the Jami' books<br>d. Sahifah: Collections of the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w as were written down by some of his Companions during his lifetime<br>e. Either that the hadith was for a different situation or was that the hadith have been abrogated.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Shazni<br></strong><br>Dirayah: validity of the chains of prophetic transmission</div><div>Riwayah: transmission of hadith <br><br>1) Muttafaq `Alaih indicates that it is related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim on the authority of the Companion who narrated the Hadith from the Prophet (peace be upon him) and both of them, i.e. Al-Bukhari and Muslim, agreed on the authenticity of the Hadith.<br>2) A Faqīh is an expert in fiqh, or, Islamic jurisprudence.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Ilm Riwayah is the study of hadith's matan and isnad.<br><br>ilm diraya is that branch which discusses the rules of narrating a Hadith, the grading of the Hadith, the reliability of the narrators and the deduction of legislation from them.<br><br>Agreed upon, Islamic jurist who is an expert in fiqh or Islamic jurisprudence and Islamic Law, hadith collector who collects hadith in the form of musnad, school of thought, innovation, inspiring longing for God, inspiring fear of God, criticism of hadith, extraction and authentication of hadith.<br><br>Firstly, one should verify the proof of the Sunnah and its soundness in terms of sand and matn according to the scientificmethodology established by the pious predecessors.<br><br>Secondly, one should be proficient in understanding the Prophetic text in harmony with the meanings indicated by the language.In this case, one should know the particular circumstance of any hadīth, the totality of the purposes of Islam, the general intent ofthe hadīth , the distinction between a legislative and a non-legislative Sunnah.<br><br>Thirdly, one should assure himself of the safety of the text from contradiction by what is stronger than it from the Qur’an and otherhadīths which are more abundant in number of sources, or more sound in proof of their authenticity, or more consonant withoriginal principles, or more fitted to the purpose of the Legislative measures.<br><br>The lack of wisdom in understanding the lesson every hadith is teaching has led us to stick with the literal understanding.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Mutafaqqun Alaih: a group of people widely agreed upon a hadith. Like so &amp; so narrated a hadith...then mutaffaqun alaih. Means that hadith is agreed upon <br><br>Faqih: Jurist, someone who has attained an unparallel level of knowing Islamic law, e.g. Syeikh Muhammad al-Faqih al-Muqaddam mentioned in ratib al-‘Attas<br><br>Fiqhiyyun - scholars who study ushul fiqh<br><br>Musnid - someone who knows the science of isnad or chain of narrators<br><br>Madzhab - school of jurisprudence<br><br>Bid’ah - an action something that is not present before. For example, the celebration of Prophet’s (s.a.w.) birthday is not existent during the times of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) but it exist now. Bid’ah can be good (hasanah) or bad (saiyyah)<br><br>Targhrib - self motivation to love doing good<br><br>Tarhib - the presence of fear towards a greater entity i.e. Allah<br><br>Jarh - science of hadith in dealing with narrators if they are reliable or not<br><br>Takhrij - science of hadith in extraction and authentication of hadith<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
