The following statement of principles is the foundation for Renue standards of this training:

Language and communication are the heart of our tribal communities. We must educate all people linguistically and culturally to develop respectful communications in the United States and abroad. This imperative envisions a future in which ALL people, regardless of age, will develop cross cultural proficiency in understanding at least one tribal nation if not two, that a person might engage with during their lifetime. Developing further proficiencies in our personal understanding of our own cultures is as important as developing proficiencies in the understanding of another’s. As culture evolves, so does our understanding of our culture in relation to the world.
