5. What cruelly ironic about this statement is that they both have the same interest in making sure their family and community they can comfortably live in while Mr. Linder is only appealing to the interests of him and his family.

6. I believe that what Mr. Linder said was genuine but it based on in ideology that oppresses African Americans from enjoying the same luxuries as others purely because of their origins. Mr. Linder might believe to himself that this way of thinking doesn't count as racial prejudice but it obviously does. He might be lying to his family but ether way if he truly believes these words or not it still applies as justifying this oppression.

1) Walter behaves like a mad man when he thinks he isn't getting the money since he thinks mama does not have any faith in him. He was also acting like a child when he did not get the money since he believes by him opening the liquor store it will have him and his family live comfortably.

7) Walter hands his friend the money for the liquor store but his friend in turn, runs off with the money and never looks back. He gives willy the $6500 but that screwed him and his family over in the end. This surprised me since Walter was so adamant on funding and investing into this liquor store and his friend just messed him over in the end, ultimately scratching the liquor dream out of the equation.

How does he change when he does?
Walter gets mad and tells his mom that she didn't care about his dreams and she didn't trusted him. When he does receive the money, he gets enthusiastic.

7. What has Walter done with the money, and does this surprise us?
Walter used all of the money to invest it in a liquor store even Beneathea's part of the money. This doesn't surprise us because in the beginning he didn't want Beneathea to become a doctor since he believed it would waste money.

5. It's cruelly ironic because what Lindner is describing is the dream the Younger family wants. They desire the average life. They work very hard so they are able to live out their dream and live in a good community to raise their future family.

7. Walter who was initially supposed to take the money Mama entrusted him with to the bank to put away for Beneatha's education, selfishly took it all for his own dream. This results in the money being stolen by a trusted friend of Walter's, leaving no remaining money. I was somewhat surprised because although the business and their plan to go about it was shady, Walter was very passionate about it so I believed he knew what he as doing and that it would truly go as he planned.

Question 1. When Walter thinks he isn't getting the money he starts going into denial thinking that Bobo made a mistake of some kind and that Willy is going to get his money. Walter changes instantly from denial to instant despair and regret as he realizes that the man he trusted to go into a deal with to make more money for his family has gone away with the money and left him in the dust with nothing.

Question 4. The person who catches on first for the purpose of what Karl Lindner was talking to them about was Beneatha. We know because during the conversation between Walter, Ruth, Beneatha and Karl Lindner when Karl continued speaking on him being the chairman of the committee who go meet the people who decide to go meet the people who decide to move into the neighborhood and tell them the way the people do things in that neighborhood. It's seen in the book that only Beneatha noticed what Karl was trying to subtly say towards them and tries to get him to explain but was shut down by Walter.

1. Walter is infuriated when he thinks he isn’t getting the money. He ultimately acts out and feels like his family isn’t supporting his dreams of opening a liquor store. He believed that the money was the one way out in providing a better life for his family and when Mama shut him down, he was very upset. When he does get sone of the money he is extremely happy and he was always in a lighter mood. He treated Ruth with so much more respect and was all around more enthusiastic.

7. Instead of depositing the money in the bank like how Mama told him too, he gave the money to Willy to go get the liquor license and it all backfired. This surprised me but then again it didn’t. I didn’t think Walter could be this selfish and devious when it came to this situation. Some of the money was for Benetheas tuition money and now she won’t be able to finish school. That was also all of the extra money that the family had and he threw it all away

3. Karl Lindner tried to keep discourse friendly because he realised as the messeger of Clyborne Park, that he had insulted the Youngers; regardless of his approach towards them and how nice he formulated his words, in essence he told the Youngers that they "dont belong and we dont want you."
4. When Walter receives the money from his mother he is shocked and later estatic. Unlike his usual "man vs society" atttiude his mood becomes more cherry and bright; he also goes on a date with his wife. Money , to Walter is "Life" and the key he needs to achieve his dreams.

How does Walter behave when he thinks he isn't getting the money? How does he change when he does?

Walter becomes distraught and shocked when he finds out that his alleged business partner cheated him and ran away with the money that Mama gave him. What changes is how weak willed he becomes as he goes on the floor creating a scene about how he lost the money that was made out of his father's flesh as he would say it. He was optimistic before when he was given the money, but now when he failed, everything is falling apart and that irresponsible mistake will impact the family.

What has Walter done with the money, and does this surprise us?

Mama gave Walter insurance money that belonged to him and Beneath, believing that Walter would make rational decision with the money. He would then not give Beneath any of the money and would spend both their money to help try to open a liquor store with the help of some business partners. What then happens is that one of his alleged business partners ran away with the money, thus making him lose all the money mama gave him. This doesn't surprise me because Walter was someone who wanted to make money quick and throughout you could see that he didn't take accountability for many problems. He went fully forward with his plan without thinking of the consequences

1.How does Walter behave when he thinks he isn't getting the money ? How does he change when he does?
Walter was really upset and felt betrayed when he found out that he wasn't getting the money because his initial intention was to use it for the liquor store so he makes mama feel guilty and tells her that she has crushed his dream.Walter was shocked when he did receive the money but he was to obsessed with it which made him make dumb decisions.

2. What has Walter done with the money, and does this surprise us?
Walter has given all the money away to Willy Harris and his friends and eventually gets scammed by them and ends up loosing the money. Just like its family felt disgusted by Walter so was the rest of our reactions. Although it was pretty upsetting that he made such ironic decisions it did not surprise us because it was clear from the beginning that his obsession with mamma's money was not going to end well.
