One course concept that applies to this article is logos. The article is mostly focused on the court case and the judge's ruling of it. It tells of the thought processes that the judge had and the logic he used to come to the conclusion. 

Another concept I can see relating to both the offender and defender, in this case, is identity. The photographer is refusing to photograph this wedding because she identifies herself as a Christian. She uses her identity in this religion to say that she has the right to refuse to photograph this couple because it goes against her beliefs. The couple is being discriminated against because of what they identify themself as which is gay. 

This article relates to my ISP because it shows an example of how different sexual orientations are being discriminated against in photography. A photographer is refusing to photograph a gay couple's wedding because they are gay, and this is against her beliefs. One course concept that I see in this article is pathos. The article evokes feelings of sympathy towards the teacher because she loses her job and receives hate from people in the community for just showing a picture of her wife. Other teachers show pictures of their husbands or wives, but they don't lose their jobs. 

Another course concept that applies is agency. The principal comments that he didn't believe she had done anyrthing wrong. He had the power to create change having a status of authority in the school system, but he chose not to act.

One course concept that I see is social cohesion. Through this nonprofit organization, different cultures and countries all come together to share how they have been discriminated against as apart of the LGBTQ+ community. 

Another course concept that applies is pathos. The photos described or shown appeal to many emotions including sympathy, awe, and compassion. 

This shows my ISP because it describes different ways different countries that are apart of the LGBTQ+ community are discriminated against. One course concept that is shown through the article is logos. The article tells facts of the percentages of stereotypes that are depicted in GLAAD and Getty images. Getty images are a huge part of popular culture in the sense that they are used for most advertising, are found easily all over google, and such. 

Another course concept that is shown through this article is stereotypes. The statistics that are shared tell of basic stereotypes that are depicted in most photography. These stereotypes are misrepresentations of the LGBTQ+ community. 

This relates to my ISP because it shows the statistics of a big company that supplies lots of photos for advertising and on google. One course concept that applies to this artifact is pathos. Emotions of compassion and sympathy are appealed as many will feel sorry for the photographer for not only being discriminated against, but for the fact that the mother posted it on twitter and it got alot of retweets as well which means there had to have been at least some people supporting the woman and her decision. 

Another course concept is social coehsion. When the client went online and tweeted thier text messages, she received comments and retweets from people who supported her and were together with her on her response to figuring out the photographer was gay. The photographer also tweeted about the issue which in turn gave her support from people who were on her side or who have experienced the same thing as her.

This relates to my ISP because it shows how not only photographers are discriminating against people who are gay, but clients discriminate against photographers as well.

One course concept that applies to this article is ethos. The quotes from the article are from credible sources because they all identify as queer and are all photographers in the industry. If they weren't queer or photographers, they wouldn't be credible to talk on the topic of representation of queers in the photography industry. 

Another course concept that is represented in this artifact is agency. By speaking up about the lack of representation of queer photographers and photography, they are using their power of being queer and a photographer to make a change.

A course concept seen in this artifact is logos. The author talks about the many different arguements both sides present in cases. It gives the facts of the law. It also goes further by surveying people on their personal opinion on the subject as well. 

Identity is clearly present as a concept in this artifact. When the survey is given, there is more support for the business when they identify themselves to a religion. There is not more support when they identifiy it as a wedding. This shows that people sympathize more with people's religions and things that go against their religion.

Another course concept present is 
This relates to my ISP because a big event that is going on in the photography industry is Christian photographers not wanting to photograph gay marriages. Is this discrimination or is this a right of beliefs? This artifact explores this question.

One course concept that applies to this artifact is pathos. There have been many court cases about Christian photographers refusing to photograph gay weddings, and from what I have researched most have been in favor for the gay couple. This article could create emotions of relief and happiness from Christian readers and Christian photographers as they see that not all photographers are being forced to. This can also appeal to the feeling of hate or feeling offended as gay readers see the judge isn't standing up for them. 

Another course concept I think applies well is identity. The photographer identified herself as being a Christian. Because she is a Christian, she is using her rights of beliefs to not photograph the wedding. She also identifies that her job is a form of free speech which means that she won her case because it went against her first amendment rights. 

I think this relates to my ISP because it shows a different ruling compared to the other case I have. One course concept I see applies is agency. The Supreme Court has the power to stop discrimination against gay couples against gay photographers. Except if they abolished these laws the change they could make with their power will be lost. 

Another course concept seen is ethos. Mark Joseph Stern is some sort of celebrity because of the checkmark beside his name on twitter which makes his opinion in a sense credible to a lot of people.

One course concept I think applies here is pathos. The photos included with the post creates a feeling of awe because they are beautifully shot and edited. Another feeling would be that of gratitude from those reading her post as they feel included and seen. 

Another course concept that can apply here is social cohesion. Through the comment section, different sexualities and cultures respond to each other and respond to the photographer about LGBTQ+ inclusiveness and support in photography
