    Despite my anxiousness, I was tasked late last year with something that was out of my specialisation - Project Management. It was a request I had raised with my manager earlier during our 1-to-1 sessions as I wanted to hone my skills which she confidently delegated to me thereafter . As I was always involved in the later stages of planning, I possessed minimal skills and knowledge. I was overwhelmed at first when I did not know what to do. Later part, I realised that the key was to break down each step and to segment out my priorities so that I could branch out the solutions and steps to proceed from there. Using a step-by-step approach would better organise my tasks and hence a clearer view of what needs to be done.

    การสร้างทีมและเป็นผู้นำของทีมเป็นสิ่งใหม่สำหรับทรายและท้าทายมากๆ ด้วยความไม่รู้ ความกระตือรือร้นและความตื่นเต้นที่อยากทำให้สำเร็จทรายก็เริ่มจากการพูดคุยกับพี่ๆที่มีประสบการณ์เพื่อขอแนวทาง จากนั้นก็วางแผนโดยเริ่มจากดูว่าทีมเราต้องมี output ออกมาเป็นอะไร และค่อยๆลงลึกไปว่าดังนั้นเราต้องการตำแหน่งอะไรในทีมบ้าง และหน้าที่และความสามารถของแต่ละตำแหน่งต่างกันอย่างไร  ถัดมาก็คือการสร้าง SOP ให้ทีมสามารถทำงานได้ดีทั้งภายในทีมและการทำงานกับทีมอื่นๆ จากนั้นก็เป็นการสร้างperformance Dashbord เพื่อให้เราสามารถมอนิเตอร์การทำงานของทีมและระบุปัญหา และแน่นอนการจัดโค้ชชิ่งให้กับคนในทีมเพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพของทุกคนและทำให้ทีมแข็งแกร่งมากขึ้นค่ะ

    นอกจากนั้นทรายคิดว่าการสื่อสารเป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญมากในการนำทีมให้ได้ดี ซึ่งทรายจะชอบขอ feedback เพื่อนำมาพัฒนาตัวเองให้เป็นผู้นำที่ดีมากๆยิ่งขึ้นไปค่ะ

    In 2021, I was assigned to build and lead 3 new teams for Shopee; 1) Contract management team, SPX parcel shop 2) Non-receive team, Return Ops และ 3) Missing item team, Return Ops

    Building and leading a team was new and challenging for me. With no experience, my enthusiasm and excitement to accomplish, I started by reaching out to get suggestions from experienced team leads. Then I started to plan team structure by considering expected team outcomes and then think of roles, responsibilities and competence we need in the team. Next, I created SOP for the team to work effectively within the team and with other teams. I created a performance dashboard to monitor performanace and flag issues. Lastly, I managed to have coaching sessions with team members to ensure that I can help them bring out their fullest potential. 

    Moreover, I think communication is one of the most important skills to be a good leader. Definitely, there is always rooms to improve and I love to ask my team for feedback to improve myself to be a better leader.
