Discussion Post Week 7: Park Avenue, Money, Power and the American Dream by Stacy Bluth

After watching the film, make THREE posts on this padlet.

Post 1: Upload or link a photo, meme, news story, cartoon, song, short video, etc. that you think highlights one or more of the concepts talked about in the film. This should NOT an image or clip from the film, rather something you find through an Internet search, something you record/take an image of, etc. Provide a VERY brief (one to two sentence) explanation of why you chose this particular illustration. Be as creative as you want!

Post 2: Create a post with one question or topic related to the film that you would like to talk about in class.

POST 3: Take a look at some of your classmates' posts for Post 1 (image, news story, video, etc.). Pick at least one to respond to. Share your thoughts on what they posted. Your comments can cover a wide range of ground - what you found interesting about their post, something you learned from the post, another connectiono to the movie or something we talked about in class, etc. Your post should NOT be something like, "I liked your post."

I also posted so you can see an example.

This tv show quote illustrates how the working class would have a harder time because of taxes. This also shows Rachel having a precarious job as a waitress at a coffee shop. While the rich keep getting richer, those in the working class stay in the working class because they don't have the advantages of tax breaks. Through this we see the faults of our own mixed economy because our economy caters to only the top 1% of our socioeconomic world.
