What did they do well on?

-They planned well.
Sequence of programs are well planned. They managed to execute the program even when the contingency plan was brought forward.

What can they improve on in the future?

-Some of the things were overlooked such as the dance performance and it was last minute.
- Although it was well executed, I still think that it felt "last minute" since things got a lot rushed during the contingency plan.

TECHNICAL (AV) CREW

What did they do well on?

The quality of the music was very well suited for the event.
They managed to set up the AV stuff quickly so that the program can start on the situated time

What can they improve on in the future?

-The music volume level was too loud and need to decrease the volume subtly.
Audio wasn't that of expected quality so I think what they can do to improve is to conduct multiple tests on the speakers to ensure this does not happen again.

As AV support

- Did you learn/ discover something new? If yes, share.
We learn how to use the microphone and the speakers. We also have to learn to work together with the other teams to coordinate with the programme outline.

- What were some of the challenges you faced?
The challenges that we faced are the connection of the microphone with the speakers through different channels. We have to work together with the contingency crew to carry out the last minute plans.

showed enthusiasm and were able to keep a friendly atmosphere towards the audience.
Emcees were enthusiastic and managed to hype up the audiences whenever necessary

What can they improve on in the future?

Spencer could appear more lively as he translates to the audience instead of being formal looking.
- If the Emcees realize that the program is going too fast, they can maybe try adlibbing for a few minutes to stall a bit.

The choreography was really well done and were able to adapt to sudden changes that were implemented.

What can they improve on in the future?

Age appropriate choreography and a variety of genres instead of k-pop.

What did they do well on?

The goodie bags were sufficient enough to supply the audience and the selections of food were well suited for the audience.

What can they improve on in the future?

The size of the goodie bags should be bigger to store the food, drinks and fruits all at once instead of separating each item to prevent hassle for the audience.

We learned that door gifts have to be planned beforehand to attend to the TA, so we have to give suitable gifts to them instead of our own liking.

- What were some of the challenges you faced?
Some of the challenges faced would be the budget since not only must the goods be cheap so that they fit the budget , but they must be of good quality as well.

They were a huge range of variety of food that were given to the audience and were sufficient to supply them.
it was suitable for the elderly and is reasonable

What can they improve on in the future?

They should have contacted the staff of ECONS and ask what types of food the audience would prefer.
More variety of food could be presented at the place itself.

What did they do well on?

-They predicted sufficiently and they knew how to act on the spot without hesitation.
- They were prepared to carry out last minute performance and was smooth.

What can they improve on in the future?

-They did not prepare a backup for the entire event as they were too focused on the minor details.
- We didn't need to use them as it was unnecessary the program went well and on time.

As Contingency Team

- Did you learn/ discover something new? If yes, share.
- There are always things that we don't think of

- What were some of the challenges you faced?
- For one of the performances, the music stopped halfway. So, instead of stressing over how to fix the technical problem, we continued the song by singing.
- The programs that we had planned had gone by too fast

There were more than enough equipment that was needed for the event.
They planned the activities and quizzes thoroughly

What can they improve on in the future?

-Additional manpower to entertain the audience.
They should probably put in some small activities in the middle to act as a buffer time so that they can use it if needed if they think the program is going too fast.

1) no, we only had to do the checklist which was something we already learnt in class.

1. We learned how to engage with the audience.
2. Due to our activities ending faster than planned, we managed to come up with last minute performances and stretched the excess time.

Even the music stopped, we managed to just sing along and continue the performance and not just stand around.

LEARNING POINT: we learn that as emcees we are not only supposed to deliver our speech but we must give our full best with great enthusiasm to attract the target audience’s attention

Confidence

As Emcees we have to speak to a large group of audience, we have to muster our confidence and show the crowd how prepared we are. As we are representing the school, we have to give our up most performance and do a good job.

Adaptability

As Emcees we have to be prepared that anything can change last minute and we as emcees have to be well prepared and ensure the flow of the event program.

Out spoken

As emcees we have to be loud, opened and engage the crowd with our enthusiasm. As Emcees we cannot afford to be shy and mutter when we are on the stage as it will interrupt the flow of the event and show no professionalism.

Challenges Faced

Preparation is the Key

We faced issues as the format of the flow is not really well done and practiced; therefore we will have a bit of lag in-between programs.

Audience is not active

As our target audience is Elderly, we feel that our programme is not very well engage to the elderly, and most of the elderly is very reluctant to participate.

Confidence

We have to improve our confidence and be more outspoken to the participants, we have to further away from our comfort zone in order to well execute the roles as Emcees.

Budget Team:• Learning Point: Our team has learnt on how to spend money wisely. We have also learnt about the importance of money and how it affects our daily lifestyle.• Challenges faced: while planning, we had a lot of communication problems. We had to wait for the other groups to tell us about the needs and wants of each specific item before purchasing them. Without proper communication, our budget team was stuck and was not able to proceed with our plan as we needed support from other teams.Project Management Team:1. They did a great job on planning the event even though it was their first time planning a small event. They also came up with a contingency plan without any problem when the mini concert ended earlier than expected. Their contingency plan was well planned and there is a great teamwork between them.2. They can improve on having more bonding and interaction game with the elderly. For example, playing musical chair and simon say.3. Yes, the admin note and instruction was clear and detailed. 4. They can improve on having more back-up activity and extending the activity timing.Programme:1. They did an excellent job on bringing a smile to the elderly faces when they are watching the performances. Even though there was an audio problem while Valeska and Christian was performing, they still continued to dance without any problem.2. They can improve on having Chinese, indian and malay music as their background music for performance. As most of the song that they dance to are Kpop which the elderly does not understand.EMCEES:1. The emcees were able to speak to the audiences with confidence throughout the entire event. 2. To be more enthusiastic and memories the script before the event.PERFORMANCES1. The performances were able to perform the dance and singing smoothly. They did not forgot their lyrics or dance steps in the middle of the performances. 2. Dance to songs that elderly would probably know of.Door Gift Crew:1. The door gifts were well packed and organized. All the items were properly packed and the food items were suitable for the elderly.2. Add more variety and soft food and in smaller packaging as the elderly had too many stuff to hold.Food Menu:1. The variety of the food was well suited for the target audience whom were the elderly. The food also arrived on punctually as there was no delay. The food choices were well selected and carefully chosen.2. The choices of food could be more so that the elderly would have a wider variety of food choices to choose from. Contingency Crew:1. The crew panned the contingency plan properly. The crew also performed well on the day itself during the period of crisis. 2. The crew should add more contingency plans for emergency and also in order for the audience not to panic or feel bored during the event.Technical (AV) Crew:1. The crew was well organized and was ready before hand. This allowed the event to run smoothly.2. During one of the performance, the song stopped half way leading the AV crew to panic. This could have been avoided if proper check for all the songs had been done before.
