It took theories, evidence, and going against the Church for Renaissance Scientist to 'change their world'. Nicolaus Copernicus came up with the idea that the Sun is the center of the universe, but had no evidence to support his claim. Galileo supported him and found evidence. He ended up being accused of heresy, and was put on house arrest. The Church finally said that they were wrong because modern science further supported Nicolaus and Galileo.

It also took rebellion such as when the 95 thesis was nail to the front of the church. During the Renaissance anything that was different from what the church told you was wrong.

It took a lot of support and factual evidence because they had to defy the church and they needed support to do that. They also needed evidence so if the church or someone told them they were wrong, they had evidence to prove that they were not lying. They also had to prove the church wrong which was a big thing because back then, the church was always right. If someone were to claim that the Earth revolved around the Sun, they would be accused of heresy and sentenced to house arrest which as you may know, did happen to Galileo. It was a big deal to try to prove the chruch wrong and many people from the scientific revolution did, even if they were told to back of because the chruch was scared of them. These people told the church and all of it's believers that sickness was caused by germs and bacteria, not just because god was punishing them for sins. They also created shots, and medicine to cure sickness and make people live longer due to better health. These scientists showed people how the world really was through research and knowledge and I don't think that the world would be the same today without the scientific revoulution.

It took Renaissance Scientists to change their world by proving the Roman Catholic Church wrong. They knew that god wasn't the reason why good and bad things happened. For example, scientists created the thermometer to check someone's temperature when they are sick, rather than saying that God was punishing them for their sins. The Renaissance Scientists also proved the Roman Catholic Church wrong by supporting heliocentric theory. Galileo made telescopes more clear so he would be able to support heliocentric theory, and to explain to the Catholics that the Earth was not God's favorite creation and that the Earth was not the center of the universe.

When scientists found evidence that what their source of information isn't true, then they will start to question and listen to them. Galileo found proof of a heliocentric universe and Robert Boyle proves that weather is caused by air pressure and not on God's mood with you. Once people's trust is weakened, they turned to Bacon and Descartes to change the way they think.
