However, Charlie refused to turn back home and trudged further into the Alaskan landscape. 
 
 He was mad and worried. Charlie was angry that his parents didn't understand him and he was worried about his dog, Lucky. In his anger, he had stormed out of the house with Lucky by his side and while they were walking Lucky suddenly ran off. 
 
 "Lucky! Stop!" Charlie yelled.
 
 He ran after Lucky but Lucky was too fast and soon disappeared into the distance leaving Charlie behind. 
 
 The wind suddenly picked up while Charlie was searching for Lucky and snow started falling faster and faster. A blizzard was starting and Charlie needed to find shelter now. 
 
 In the distance, there was a light coming from a house. Even though his parents had told him how scary strangers could be, Charlie really needed this one's help. So, he told himself that Lucky would be okay and pushed through the snow to the house. 
 
 Charlie took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A lady called Heather let him in with a smile and guided him to sit by a fire.
 
 While talking, Charlie told her why he was out in the storm and about his missing dog Lucky.
 
 "How could you do something so dangerous?"
 
 "I-I didn't mean to..." Charlie stammered. 
 
 Looking back on it now, it was a silly thing to do and he just felt embarrassed. 
 
 "Look," Heather said, 
 
 "It may feel like your parents don't understand you but from what you've told me, I can tell that they love you very much and only want what's best for you. I will also keep an eye out for Lucky and I will let you know if I find him," Heather smiled. 
 
 Charlie realized that even though him and his parents may not always get along, they love him. And thanks to Heather, he realized that is very important. 
 
 Once the blizzard stopped, Charlie hugged Heather goodbye and decided that the first thing he would do when he got back home, was hug his parents and tell them how much he loves them.
