they learn in the classroom to enhance their lives, rather

than simply memorize facts and ideas learned in class

This idea is especially important to educators. As the landscape of teaching changes, particularly in Alberta, we understand that educating as a profession must continually adapt. In order to this, we can use PLN's to develop ourselves and our ideas every day, if only a small amount.

As one of the articles pointed out, it is human nature to learn something and immediately we want to share it among us. Education provides teachers the perfect opportunity to immediately put into practice an idea they have just learned about, and helps us to continually be come excited for our jobs, and better provide service to our students
