The Romans used aqueducts to bring water to the city and homes. The build then with a slight slope so the water didn't go to fast or to slow. The aqueduct bring water not only to the city but the whole Empire. The first aqueduct was build in 312 BC. The water the aqueducts brought was used for public baths and toilets.

The Roman roads were build almost 2000 years ago. The all lead to the city of Rome. The roads where mainly rocks stuck together. They were used for easier transportation. The Romans were the first people who introduced the dome to the U.S.A.  There are a lot of building in Rome with domes. Columns Can resist earth quakes and strong winds. Columns usually support arches and beams. You can tell the difference of the columns By the design on the top. The Romans inspired the US to make a republic.  The Romans didn't want a king so they made a republic.  Rome also had 3 branches and laws. The Romans also Could pick their leaders.
