Carl : Yes I am. I really can’t wait to have a long holiday so i can catch up with my parents. By the way, when will you be back to work? 

Vic : I’ll be back to work next two weeks. How about you?

Carl : Ohh lucky you. My boss asked me to take holiday for one week so my holidays are nearly over. Next week i’ll be back towork.

Vic : Poor you. I’m sorry to hear that.

Micheal : I want to make a cup of tea. Is there any hot water in the kettle?

Jack : Yes, there is water in the kettle but i don’t know if it’s still hot or not? .

Micheal : The water is not hot enough. How do i switch on the kettle?

Jack : It’s easy, just switch on the red button.

 A: Hey Jack! Hi! B: Oh hi! How are you doing? A: Not too bad. You? Where are you headed so late? B: Err, just to the convenience store on the corner - we’ve run out of milk. A: I see. How’s your wife? Did she get over that flu? B: Oh yeah, yeah. Thanks. She’s fine now. Actually, we had to put off our trip to Whistler because of it. But we are going next week. A: Oh, you are? Skiing is great. It’s important to stay active in winter. Me too, I’m trying to get healthier – trying to quit smoking. B: Really? Good for you. How’s your new job, by the way? A: Job’s good. I get along well with everyone there – my co-workers, management. And the pay is pretty good too. I’m saving up for a new car now. B: Nice. Oh, do you have any idea how much a dog hotel might cost per day? A: A dog hotel? Not sure. Around 40 bucks? Why? B: Well, we’re looking where to leave Rex while we are in Whistler. So, I need to find out if there’s any good, reasonably priced place… We don’t want to take him with us this time. A: Oh. We could look after him, I guess. I’ll have to check with my wife, though - see if she is okay with it. B: Oh really? I mean, we’d be so grateful if you could 

“Thanks! I can’t believe I pulled it off.”

“Did you find it difficult?”

“My legs started hurting during the last five miles – but all the people cheering us on definitely helped me pull through the pain and reach the finish line.”

“Have you seen Rhanu lately?”

“Yes, actually, I ran into him at the supermarket yesterday.”

“Oh, really?”

“Yup. My wife sent me to the store because we had run out of sugar. I saw Jerry in the checkout line and we chatted for a few minutes.”
