How Does Your Source Support Your Thesis Statement:
In “Of Mice and Men” the main theme is reaching your dream (American Dream). However, throughout this book as it progresses the one of the main characters, George realizes that this is not possible because of the trouble his friend Lennie brings. John Steinbeck tries to emphasize this, especially during this era, which was the Great Depression as well.

That's a thing I want ya to know." to Lennie, due to the fact that Lennie is always putting the two in trouble and getting side tracked on their goal to own a ranch together.
