I'm going to be a colonist. I oppose of this act. First, because I don't like being taxed for everything. I also don't like it because we have to be charged for everything. King George the III is being so unfair to just us colonist. In Great Britain they don't have to be taxed, and that is so unfair.

Hi, I'm a colonist. I oppose to this act. This is very unfair because we have to pay lots of taxes even for one piece of paper, newspaper, and more. We are over 3,000 miles away and i don't think its fair that they can tax us from so far away. Also, I think that we should get more freedom to explore more of the land. I don't think its fair that King George III can tax us. Also, I don't think its fair that King George III is ruling us from over 3,000 miles away.

Hi. I am a colonist and I oppose this act that makes me pay taxes for almost everything I buy. This act is unfair because we already can't go west of the Appalachian Mountains and now I have to pay taxes. Also, the people in Great Britain don't have to pay taxes even though we are all part of Great Britain. King George can't tax us if he doesn't tax Great Britain too. The colonies need some representation. We never agreed to pay taxes. We don't want to pay taxes. Now, we the colonists have decided to stand up for our rights. We are going to start a revolution

The colinits didnt like the stamp act because they got taxed for alot of money. its also annoying for the colonists because first we cant go to the land we won and now we have to pay more taxes. the colinists just wanted to get some repersentation. here are the things they got taxed for newspaper pamplates dice decks of cards and many others . also britan isnt getting taxed. while the colinies are getting taxed for alot of money.

I am going to be a colonists. colonists didn't like the stamp act because they were charged a lot of money. This is unfair because i went to a store to buy something and i had to pay more than i had to. And we cant go west of the Appalachian mountains now. King George III didn't let the colonists on the new land. And the bad thing about this act is that is we do something wrong they will haft to kill us or hunt us down.

Good day mate, I am a colonist . I oppose to the stamp act proclamation that King George III declared. This is very, very unfair and absurd act to us colonist. We deserve land and freedom to explore more in the world of ours. I have received a receipt showing my taxes. I have gotten paper, dye, news paper, and other activities I enjoyed with my mates. He over charged me, and I don't have all the shillings to pay off. I think King George III should not tax us this much shillings. I am being ruled by the king form over 3,000 miles away! Us colonists should be able to have freedom to leave this land and explore, also, to have enough money without so much shillings to pay with taxes. The bad thing about this act is that, the King can track us down if we run away he will put us in prison and kill us! I really wish that we could sneak out without them knowing! This absurd act is very brutal and unfair. I oppose to this and I really hope soon they will listen and let us be free! Thank you for your time.

I am going to be a colonist. Today I received a letter that said we have new taxes. I went to the store and bought a peice of paper, the store clerk said that I have to pay more shillings than I have to because of the new taxes. All of the colonists got this letter and we were outraged! The King taxed us on basically everything. Some of the things they taxed us for were dye, paper, even if I wrote on a peice of paper they would tax me, and they're are so many more things. I dont think this is fair, I am being ruled by a king over 3,000 miles away! I dont even have that much shillings to buy anything at the store anymore. I can see why the store clerks follow the rules because if you dont follow the kings orders something very bad could heppen. The most serious thing that could heppen if you dont follow the kings orders is TREASON! Me as a colonist and all the other colonists think that the new taxes are not fair at all. The new taxes are making everything more shillings then they have to be. Wish me luck.

It is also unfair that we get charged for buying things we would normally buy. I really think that we should be able to move further than the Appalachian Mountains!

I am a colonist and i am really mad about the stamp act. First i think it is unfair that we have to pay more money for news papers,almanacs,and playing cards. Next i know think its fair that we have to pay for a war that we will almost die in.thirdly it is really weird that we have to pay them when they are 3,000 miles across water. Another thing is it was stupid because are taxes barley affected the war bounds.  In conclusion i think the stamp act is a horrible rule

I am a colonist. I think that the stamp act is very unfair! King George wants to protect us colonists from the war. But to do that, he is making us pay taxes! Even if he needs money to pay for the war, why can't he get it somewhere else? Before now Great Britain was leaving us alone to deal with ourselves, and we liked that. It's very unfair that King George is helping us when we didn't need it and making us pay for something we don't want.

I am king george III and i think the stamp act is fair. They live in my country they shall respect us by paying there tax. After the french war everything was destroyed they must help there king by paying tax. And they think it's unfair well they dont now what it is like to be king. They should pay there tax or if they dont they will be charged for treason, it is only fair. In conclusion the stamp act is very fair they need to pay tax it will help are country grow.

Hi, I am a colonist and I oppose the stamp act a lot. First, it is completely unfair that we get charged for buying card and other everyday items and we have to pay it to the British Parliament. The act of King George III is for their cause . Everybody including me thinks that it is very unfair. Our life is getting really hard with these unfair laws. We had to pay so much for almanacs, playing cards, dice, newspaper, liquor license and so many other things. Also, we pay a lot of taxes and it all goes to the British. This is how they make money. Unbelievable . Why do we have to pay for the war? Our transportation and and communication is very hard to do such as getting letters and delivering them. This is hard enough but with this new stamp act it became even harder. We can't stand this stamp act. We really think that the stamp act is ruining our lives and we are going to start a revolution. We need to end this dumb and unfair rule that makes us pay taxes to the British Parliament. We think that this stamp act is getting really out of hand. The king is over 3,000 miles away from us! Hopefully we can change this dumb rule or eliminate it . In conclusion, I am in favor of the colonists because the stamp acts is really dumb and unfair. I think that we(The colonists) can make a difference and make a change in this horrible and dumb rule.

I am a colonist. I think that the Proclamation that King George lll made is completely absurd. I think that it is so dumb that we have to pay taxes! I mean why do we have to pay shillings for the news, playing cards, and dice! Me and my friends love to play dice, but we all don't have enough money to pay for them and take care of our families!

Why? i just want to play cards with my buddies! then, they say: we are charging you 5 shillings and tuppence for the cards. we cant play cards or play dice when they charge us so much!!!!! it is crazy that they charge us so much to even have a calender!!!! what if the publick makes this get out of hand! it could start a war for goodness sakes!

i would like to support the colonist. i think it is wrong two have them pay taxes on little things such as playing cards and papers. the British government should find another way to make up the money instead of having the colonist to pay the money

I'm a colonist and my name is Phila Williams. I don't think that King George III's Proclamation is fair. I think it's absolutely horrible! I don't like the fact that I have to pay taxes. I just want to play card games with my sister! but now they are so expensive. So now, instead of having fun with my sister and family, I have to use my money to take care of me and my family instead of relaxation!
