What did you find interesting and exciting about the Costa Rican culture?
My native language is English in case some may not’ve guessed. To me, the drastic changes in the language has proven difficult to me. Pronunciation will forever be a challenge, as well as the basic art of conjugating verbs though I have gotten better at it. I found many things interesting about Costa Rican culture while completing the Cultural Activities. I am still interested in the fact that many generations live under the same roof, as opposed to be many American households.
What do you hope to learn if you continue to study the Spanish language?
I hope to expand my knowledge on the culture. I know that the documents and maps are not all what the culture has to offer, in fact I believe it’s barely scraped the surface. I’d be interested in being able to enlarge my vocabulary as well.

Talk about your experience with learning Spanish in an online class. What did you like about the course? What did you not like and/or what could be improved?
This is my first time taking an online class ever, as most of my classes are taught at school. I did like the idea however, especially since we were given a generous amount of time to get things done, while being able to balance it with out schedules. My teacher has been very responsive once I have a question, which is all I can ask for in an online class. For me, writing notes is the core for me to learn anything. Visuals also help at times. So the notes were actually very helpful as well as the quizlet’s for vocabulary. Now I do study notes, but at times they can be hard to understand due to a harmless mistake made unintentionally or by someone else. However, they are very useful and I advise that you keep them in the future.
What things did your instructor do to help you with your learning? Was there anything that your instructor didn't do that would have helped you?
Conjugating verbs was a big challenge during this course, especially since I didn’t quite get it in the beginning. However as time progressed and I started looking at my instructor’s posts on her board, the small activities and questions started to help.
