Elizabeth and Victor grew up together in the same household and became more affectionate as they were older. They always cared for each other and Victor wanted to protect to her. Frankenstein had abnormal features that differed from the normal human being. He was 8 feet tall, with pate yellow skin, straight black lips, wrinkly skin and straight teeth. The monster was unique for several reasons. One, he could withstand hunger, pain, and harsh weather conditions. Two, he was composed of different body parts. Three, he had the intelligence to learn the language the people's were speaking and comprehend their culture and history.

In this story, many people died from sickness, natural causes, but mainly because of the resentment from the monster. Victor spends 2 years in isolation while he was busy with creating life. But all of his hard work went to waste because at the end he wasn't proud of his work. Since he was horrified of his creation, he abandoned his lab and left the monster behind which allows it to run away. Because of this incident, the creature learned to resent Victor for his lack of responsibility to take care of him. The monster continues to make threats to his family such as saying  "I will be there with you on your wedding night."  This made Victor get suspicious and causes him to avoid getting married to Elizabeth because he was afraid something was going to happen.

The monster continually hurts and threatens the people closest to Victor in very gruesome ways such as choking or assaulting them. They are usually found with black fingerprints around their neck.
