Over the years, they provided physical & intellectual training for physical and intellectual disabilities, giving them an opportunity to aquire skills and ability to reintegrate into the society. It also provides accomodation to some of the disabled in the centre's hostel. By engaging the Module, Community Service Initiative during semester 6, It is a chance for us to contribute to the society. 

We are to incorporate our skills and knowledge as interior architecture students, preparing a conducive and pleasant environment for them to gain intellectual knowledge.It's a great opportunity for us to put our studies into real life situation while also enhancing their learning space. We were distributed into 5 groups each with respective responsibilities. My group was to produce a interactive learning wall for individuals with learning disabilities, making easier for them to study and remember through playing. We are given chances to interact and understand their needs. Through observation and also some information given by the trainer, we approach the disables and had a short talk to further understand them better. Some of them are lacking in the ability of counting while some of them are quite good in it but most of them would have a hard time to memorise or remember things. Through the conversatons, we notice that most of them likes to play and learn with colours and handcrafted works rather than doing counting. They are very assured in the things they like and would be very excited to share themselves in the topic they like to talk about.

There would be foam going in between the pipes attaching from different holes.When they push the foam in. The foam will come out from another hole so that they could have the push and pull tension to release the stress and boredom. We all continued with the progress on the following week. continuing the pipe stacking and also including the magnet pieces in it. After the stacking, we did some of the mechanisms which helps in colour learning when me tia and kuaibing would attach and others would be cleaning up the place.
