Pollution is not the only or most important factor for climate change. Since we're part of consumer societies, every product is made to be disposable. For this reason, plastic -and other materials- has invaded our planet and it is killing the wildlife. We can also think about cellphones, big companies make them in order to work just for 2 or 3 years, then you have to buy a new one. What happens to your old phone? The chemicals can contaminate the soil. Of course we can think about recycling; however, it is not being enough for all the waste we are creating. In addition, the process needs even more resources than the ones used to create the product initially.

-Evelyn

Even when Russia maintained the territorial integrity of Ukraine by not accepting the integration request from Donetsk and Lugansk in 2015 and respected most of the compromises from Minsk agreement, Ukraine continued the war.

For this reason, Russia deployed an ambitious plan of action on February 2022. This resulted on the first direct confrontation in a war started 8 years ago. Ukrainian war crimes resulted on a general unrest in eastern Ukraine regions, like Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson, among others. Those agencies' assignment is just to get volunteers (and their donations), so they do not worry about the process after the payment. Volunteers had declared they paid around 3000 dollars and the orphanage just received 100; besides, their tasks were to cut the children's nails and do aerobics with them, while they went there to help on the eduction field. Volunteering tourism has become a profitable business: there is an important amount of money involved in, leading the orphanages to buy kids from poor families, under the promise they will provide them a better life and education.

Being responsible with given tasks and studying hard to have good grades are important things for all students, but not taking enough time to rest and recharge energy will not allow you to work efficiently. In some cases, failing an exam or assignment can make students feel sad, insecure or worthless, so it is important to learn how to forget about it, not overthink it, and focus on the present.

Social media has influenced in an important way to mental health. The social movement called "Body Posivity" - about people expressing the love for all kinds of bodies- has showed us how people respond to the same topic. Some reacted in a aceptant way and took it as a mantra for their lives, while others felt that this movement was a way to decrease mental health in people with bigger problems about body image. Even some people express their disagreement with this movement, arguing that ignores health risks. This argument has caused a debate, inciting other problems related with depression and self-destructive actions (like extreme diets). With this example we can acknowledge the importance that social media has in our lives, and mostly with mental health. We do not notice it at first, but it creates a disorder which can be express by excessive scrolling and over consumption of content.

-Lilia Vázquez

A social riot can be attributed by government's bad decisions. This means that not every march or strife is just because; there are certain things that gets people so mad, and that is the reason for many people to fight for what they believe is right. This way of thinking is caused by the idea of being out of the box that society has created and do not settle with promises, they want to start the real change although if they won't be ablee to see it in a near future. This leads younger generations to change their mindset and start rising their voice against the things that make them feel bad, in order to stop the abuse from anyone, not only parents or teachers, also classmates or the government in the future. This is caused by the different way of thinking that we all have, and different ideals that we follow living in the same weird world.

This movement promotes consuming only what is strictly necessary, with the idea of not purchasing anything until it’s genuinely needed. Rather than being forced minimalism, it encourages the best use of what you already own. While many people live this way due to economic constraints, the trend has gained popularity. Ironically, this movement can bring about positive habits by encouraging longer use of daily items, which contributes to reduced consumption. Ultimately, it may lead to a shift in consumer culture, resulting in a more sustainable approach to buying.

-Viridiana Alcaraz.

Mathematics are a widely hated subject in Mexico; nevertheless, students are not entirely to blame for this. Maths taught in school usually focus in teaching formulas and algorithms rather than promoting reflexion and deep understanding. As a consequence, students find mathematics neither interesting nor amusing, leading to the idea that they are not good at the subject, or what is even worse: that mathematics are useless. In order to form students with critical taught, our education system must recognize the implications of the teaching methods it applies regarding maths and many other subjects.

~Ángel~

Also, the fact that this new category is separated of the general category's previous to Formula 1 (Formula 2, 3 and 4) is responsible for marginalization of female competitors and that in comparison to men, they have to go through the same path twice.

~Daniela~

This dependency can lead to a loss of identity, where one partner forgets about their own needs and desires in favor of pleasing their partner. Emotional dependence not only affects the dependent person, but also creates a toxic environment for both members of the couple. This type of dynamic can result in constant conflicts, where fear of loss generates jealousy and distrust, deteriorating communication and mutual respect. Recognizing these patterns is essential to seeking help and fostering healthier relationship and mutual respect, which strengthens.

-Valentina

Research indicates that users who spend more time on platforms like Instagram and TikTok frequently compare themselves to curated online personas, leading to low self-esteem. Furthermore, reduced face-to-face interactions result in social isolation, weakening emotional well-being. Cyberbullying, which has intensified with social media, leads to severe stress and, in extreme cases, suicidal thoughts. Consequently, excessive social media consumption creates a cycle of mental distress, reinforcing the urgent need for mindful and moderated usage.

Works of art around the world have become cheaper and easier to make, which has resulted in the displacement of artists from their workplaces. But not only artists are suffering the consequences of this problem, normal people are constantly using artificial intelligence to do tasks, images, analysis and even videos, this results in the weakening creative part of the brain, which helps people to understand and resolve problems. Because of this, humans are developing a dependence on artificial intelligence and low brain activity that makes it impossible for them to create their own ideas. To be able to stop this, people have to start facing the problems on their own and start experimenting with their emotions and thoughts.

Excessive video games use, contributes to addictive behaviors in teenagers by reinforcing compulsive search for a reward, promoting isolation from family and friends, and leading to negative consequences in their mental health and daily life. This can be attributed to many video games, especially multiplayer and mobile games, use reward systems such as points, achievements, and in-game purchases to keep players engaged. These mechanics stimulate the brain’s dopamine system, creating a cycle of search for a reward for the game addiction. As a result, this contributes to teenagers may become psychologically dependent on gaming, constantly seeking the next reward or victory. Consequently, this compulsive behavior can lead to stop your responsibilities, such as school homework and social activities, reinforcing an unhealthy dependemce on video games for satisfaction. For this reason, gaming can be a fun activity, moderation is key to preventing negative mental health effects. Parents and educators should work together to promote healthy gaming habits, promote time management, and provide alternative forms of recreation to have a balanced lifestyle for teenagers.

-Karla

Among the common perceptions people might have about translation, two stand out as particularly significant when exploring a possible connection between the two of them. Historically, translation and interpretation have been disciplines predominantly led by women. At the same time, there is a prevailing notion that a translator's presence within a text should be imperceptible in order for the translation to be considered successful. Are the two notions related? Is the requirement for the translator to be invisible a result of society's constant invisibilization of women?

Illegal logging and deforestation are some of the major causes that contribute to climate change, causing the change of the characteristics of ecosystems and, as a consequence, not only damage to wild species of plants and animals, but also to some socio-economic human activities. In recent years, the regulation of these activities was strengthened in order to face the problem that represents to the world. However, due to the lack of investigation of criminal activities related, the exploitation of protected areas and commercialization of timber species considered in risk of extinction has not stopped. This means that it is necessary to implement methods that enable identifying the origin and the identity of the timber that are commercialized. In that sense, forensic genetics methods allow to determining the species that a sample belongs to since it works with the DNA and it can not be changed. Nevertheless, although forensic genetics can contribute to protect species and confront the criminal activities that occur in this field, it is necessary to consider the characteristics of the sample because not always is possible to obtain DNA of quality to carry out an analysis. For that reason, it is important to involve methods of other sciences, for example, chemistry or biology, which can be helpful when genetics can not.
