However; in march of 1876 Drew was forced to file for bankruptcy due to his extreme losses. He died on September 18th 1879 in New York City, NY. Also portrayed as one of the most ruthless robber barons of the Gilded Age. Gould acquired approximately $77 Million through the several businesses he owned; including the monopoly over New York City's elevated railways. He built his wealth greatly though railroads and shipping and acquired over $100 million in personal fortune. Vanderbilt also built the Grand Central Depot in New York City.          <description><![CDATA[<div>James Fisk was born on April 1st, 1835 in Pownal VT. James was an American stockbroker and corporate executive. James also had the nick names of, "Big Jim," "Diamond Jim," and "Jubilee Jim." Fisk also aided Jay Gould in an attempt to corner the gold market by inflating the prices.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Charles Crocker was born on September 18th, 1822 in Troy NY. Charles was an American railroad executive and also one of the founders of the Central Pacific Railroad. He overcame shortages of manpower and money by hiring Chinese immigrants for cheap labor. Later, Charles became president of the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1886 Charles was involved in a carriage accident in New York, and was severely injured. 2 Years later; he never recovered and died in Monterrey California.<br>Source: www.pbs.org<br><br></div>]]></description>
