My name is Gia, and I am 13 years old. Happy late birthday! Comment vas-tu? I live in Allentown, Pennsylvania in a township called Salisbury. If you look at the United States on a map, we are in the northeast under New York. I also have a 10-year-old brother! I've always wondered what it's like to have a sister. A tourist here might visit Hershey Park. This park is based on where Milton Hershey made the first Hershey’s chocolate bars. There are a lot of rollercoasters, but there are also family-friendly rides! In addition, people would enjoy visiting Pennsylvania’s sports stadiums. The Eagles American Football stadium, 76ers basketball stadium, and Philadelphia Phillies baseball stadium are all right next to each other! I have been to the Phillies stadium a few times, and it is a really exciting and fun environment for Philadelphia baseball lovers like myself! What places can tourists visit near you? Additionally, I love playing softball. I play year-round on a tournament team called the Outlaws. As well as that, Dorney Park is really fun! It is a small local amusement park. During Halloween time, people dress up as monsters and scare you. There are also haunted houses you can walk through! In my free time, I also like to read, just like you! For Halloween, I am dressing up as Nick Castellanos, and my friend is dressing up as JT Realmuto. They are Phillies baseball players. Do you celebrate Halloween? Also, I am 50% Italian, and my family likes celebrating it! We have Pasta Sunday almost every Sunday. During this, we invite over friends and family. My dad cooks spaghetti, and we also eat salad, garlic bread, and desserts!

I go to Salisbury Middle School, and it was built in 1969. We have grades 5-8, and there is one elementary school and one high school. Our school is located in a rural area, so we see views of forests and horses from our windows! In the middle school, we have 42 teachers, 127 eighth-grade students, and 473 total students. Our class sizes average about 22 kids. What is your school like? I noticed that your school is made with a lot of glass, and it is modern-looking. I also noticed that your lockers look a lot different than ours! I am taking English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Algebra 1. We also have specials that include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), music, FACS (Family And Consumer Science), Art, and Physical Education/Health. I also am in a Gifted class. What classes do you take? We have a lot of clubs. SMS Live is our biggest club, and they put on a show every morning that broadcasts school, community, and sports news. I participate in the Student Council. We plan spirit weeks and other school events. I am also in the Interact Club. In this club, we help out around the community, clean up the school, run a school store, and plan school events, like dances! I noticed your school celebrates Pink October! Where do you live? If you would like to find me on a map, you have to look at the East Coast of the United States, not on the coast, but still relatively close. My favorite things to do are, go bowling, go biking, and play CS2. I also have a dog! 

If you were to ever come to Pennsylvania, there are quite a handful of activities to do, for example, I haven’t visited these, but there is the Flight 93 Memorial. The Flight 93 Memorial is the only plane that didn’t hit a building in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, because of civilians who saved possibly thousands of lives. Another thing to go visit is the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The museum holds a large variety of artwork ranging from the ancient days, to modern day. What are some of your favorite things to do? Our school holds many clubs like archery, ski club, interact club and lots of other fun activities. What are some clubs or activities your school runs or sets up? I also saw that you guys did a breast cancer awareness activity for October! I saw that you have clear stairwells, which is very modern compared to our school. Hi, my name is Raenna! I am 13 years old. I have never been to Italy. Have you ever visited the United States or Pennsylvania? Quel âge as-tu? I live in Allentown PA. It is in the Mid-Atlantic region in the northeast of the United States. If you ever come here, one place you should visit if you come to PA is the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It has a collection of more than 240,000 objects/ pieces of art, spanning 4,000 years. Another attraction is the Eastern State Penitentiary. I haven’t visited it personally, but it is a very popular place to visit considering that it might be haunted. One thing about me is that I love music.  Some of my favorite music artists are SZA, The Weekend, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Drake, Tyler The Creator, Brent Faiyaz, Montell Fish, Lana Del Rey, Chase Atlantic, Childish Gambino, Ella Mai, Bryson Tiller, Giveon, Metro Boomin, Kehlani, Arctic Monkeys, Tv Girl, Steve Lacy, Rihanna, J. My favorite TV show is Community. I also have a pet. A dog named Ollie. 

I go to Salisbury Middle School, and I'm in 8th grade. There are 42 teachers, 22 kids in an average class and 127 kids total in 8th grade. Some classes that I am taking are ELA, Algebra Topics, Social Studies, and Science. Some clubs I take part in are Interact Club and Student Council although I'm only in 2 clubs there are a whole bunch more for example Archery Club, ski Club, Yearbook, Blog Club, and more. One thing I noticed though is that you have a Media Club. We don't really have anything that’s a media-related club.

Hi, comment vas-tu. I'm Isaac Mokua. You may be wondering how old I am. I'm 13 years old, and I live in Salisbury, Pennsylvania. If you don't know where Pennsylvania is, Pennsylvania is quite big compared to places like New Jersey or New York, but if you look at America on the globe, you'll be able to see Pennsylvania on the right edge of America by the Oceano Atlantico. If you ever visit Pennsylvania, the first place anyone must visit is definitely Philadelphia (the city specifically). It has some of the best street food, and depending on where you go, there are nice people. Philly is diverse and has a lot of culture around it. Secondly, you have to visit Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is a very wonderful and bright place at night. Pittsburgh contains very similar things to Philadelphia, but Pittsburgh is a little bit on the downside compared to Philadelphia. Getting past that, some of my favorite things to do are definitely listening to music while I read or playing games. There's just something about having music with you that's very calming, depending on what you listen to. The last fun little fact is that I love cultures and experiencing them; it's quite interesting to learn about them too.

                               I got to Salisbury Middle School, and they have some really nice clubs and school-related activities. My school (Salisbury Middle School) is a very basic American school, but one thing that is really great about it is its school events and any time we have holiday breaks or even football games, which is awesome, especially if you are interested in them. The school is quite old, built in 1969. We have rural views of a horse farm, with 1 elementary school and 1 high school, with around 42 teachers in the middle school. Our class size averages 22 kids. I wish I had taken special classes, but Other than regular classes like social studies, science, and Ela, the only special class I take is advanced math and specials. My favorite classes definitely has to be Math and science. Clubs are a big thing at my school, but I don't partake in many school activities; when I'm really interested in them, I do them, just like our PJAS club, which is just a club that deals with making a science fair project and then having to present it eventually to a judge. Other than that, I do not do much, but if my school had a volleyball team, I would join immediately.I have to say that Volleyball is my favorite sport. I've heard and seen a lot from your school, and it looks so big. I wish our school was as big as you, but other than that, you guys have an amazing courtyard with a bunch of basketball courts. Your school's interior is really interesting and very different from ours; even the seats are different! It's crazy how different our schools are. I really look forward to having a pen pal because of the things we could have an interest in and may have a good connection with. I live in Pennsylvania, on the east side of the United States. Ohio is on the west side of us and New York is on the east side.

If you come to PA you should visit Hershey Park or Six Flags, they are both amusement parks but Hershey is my favorite out of the two because I'm hungry right now.

Some things I enjoy are video games, like Minecraft, and my PlayStation as well. One restaurant I like to eat at is Wingstop. You probably know about that place since they expanded there in twenty nineteen. Another restaurant I eat at is Taco Bell, they (obviously) serve tacos, burritos, nachos, and spicy fries. 

I go to SMS, Salisbury Middle School, the grades in this school are 5th to 8th. We are currently learning cursive.

Our middle school was built in 1969 and it's been running ever since, it's located in Allentown, PA and we are rural.

There's a horse farm right behind our school. during gym, we get startled by the horses neighing because we never expect it.

There's also a Salisbury elementary school. We left that school and came to the middle school 4 years ago today and next year we’re going to Salisbury high school.

Anyway, there are 42 teachers in the middle school, and they’re all very hardworking.

There are 22 students in each class period and 127 in the entire grade. If you were to add this amount, to the number of kids in the school's entirety you’d get 473 total students!

The classes I'm currently taking are social studies, math, science, ELA (English language arts), and gym/PE (physical education).

The clubs I currently know about are the student council, ski club, and Project Wonder. I know there's more but I need to learn or participate in the school clubs.

America is a nice place if you want to go here you should visit Antelope Canyon, Arizona. I like to play Basketball and Fortnite. I also like to work out every day and I am the strongest kid in the school in terms of bench and squats to get a gyatt. The classes that I am taking are social studies, math, and Science. I love working out. I work every day and I am firm I bench 155 and squat 275. I never deadlift because I am afraid of hurting my back but I will deadlift eventually as right now I am guessing I deadlift around 315 for 3.  I love basketball and I play it every day and I am one of the best in my school at it I am Before, I can say I am the best I am trying out for the basketball team and training so I can make it to see if I'm the best.

The 2 places you should really visit if you decide to come to Pennsylvania is Rossi's. It is an Italian Restaurant, and I really like their spaghetti and pizza. I recommend getting the spaghetti and cheese pizza. What is your favorite pizza? I also recommend getting garlic bread. It is just so good. I also recommend going to Harrisburg which is our state capital. You will be able to learn about our state and how we originated and our history. Hi, my name is Kelly, and I am 13 years old. I have never been to Italy. Have you ever been to the United States or Pennsylvania? How old are you? I live in Bethlehem PA. PA is on the East coast of the US and we live right above New York. If you come to PA or if you already have and haven’t visited these places I think you should visit Dorney Park because its super fun and has a bunch of fun roller coasters and during the last 3 weeks of September and all throughout October they have this thing called the Haunt and its for Halloween and its when a bunch of workers dress up and scare you as your walking around the park. Another place you should visit is Knoebels. It's like Dorney park but it has different rides, and if you like camping there's a place to camp at Knoebels!! My favorite thing to watch is the Sturniolo Triplets. If you don’t know who they are, they are 3 identical brothers that every Wednesday they post a vlog and every Friday they post a car video of them talking about random things or they take suggestions from other fans. I think they are really funny.  I enjoy watching scary movies and watching tv shows too. I also enjoy listening to music. What’s your favorite artist? I also enjoy eating tacos and mac and cheese.  I go to Salisbury Middle School, and I am in 8th grade. How about you? Salisbury Middle School is located in Allentown PA. We are Rural and have views of a horse farm. We have 1 Elementary and 1 High School, along with 1 Middle school. There are 42 teachers in this school. There's usually about 22 kids in each class, sometimes less, maybe more. There are around 473 kids in this MS. The reason there's that much is because our 5th grade is with the MS and not the Elementary. I take science, math, social studies and english language arts for my classes. What about you?  I am a cheerleader and I cheer for American football and basketball. What about you??        Hi my name is Tariq. I'm 14. How old are you? Where do you live? I live in Allentown, Pennsylvania. On a map of the U.S. we would be East Coast in-between New York and West Virginia. Two places i recommend visiting here are Hershey Park and Dorney Park. They are both amusement parks with some of the best roller coasters ever. Some of my favorite things to do are play video games and listen to music. I also have four sisters we play alot and argue a lot.

The reason why people visit time square is because it's very historic and millions of people go there every year. The reason why people visit Memorial Park is because it’s the largest urban park in texas.

I also observed that your classrooms are so much more modern than ours, well as you have a much more modern layout than our school has, I’m looking forward to having a pen pal because I feel it would be great to teach and show someone things that I do and see what they do. Some experiences that were a wild journey that I have had is going to Desales College for a field trip, going to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms as well as going to Camal Back Beach, and going to the New Jersey Beach as well as Kalahari. Have you ever gone to any of these places? In our school, we have a variety of parks such as Laubauch and Devonshire park which have many small attractions and are super local. I will thank you for your wishes! I'm fine, and you? I live in Wissembourg, it is in Alsace, in France. This town is also a little popular, especially by German tourists, but also by Swiss and Dutch tourists. By us is Strasbourg a very visited city, it has a known cathedral, the European Parliament and it is the European Capital.

How do you celebrate Christmas? By us, on December 1st, we get an advent calendar. It's a calendar, where every day you open a little door and inside there can be a little chocolate or other little surprises, it depends on the calendar... We also have an advent wreath, where during the 4 weeks before Christmas, every sunday you light a candle. In our home, we have a Christmas tree. We decorate it with my family (my sister-my father-my mother). At Christmas, first we go to Christmas Mass, then we come back to our home and prepare food together. After we eat and next we open the gifts. I've get chocolate, a book, a kit, pens and much more. What have you get?

Carnival is also a celebration that I like. It's a day when you can dress up. Do you dress up on this day? Or do you have uniforms at school? We don't have uniforms.

Easter and Christmas are my favorite feasts. And you, what are your favorite feasts? This year, I'd like to go to Italy. Where would you like go?

At my school (Collège Otfried), we have a choir where I singing also. We have also "UNSS", this is a sports club, where you can play badminton, basketball, football, table tennis, boxing and many other things. Last year I did that but not anymore because now I don't have much time... My favorite subject is German, because the teacher is very nice and I like what we learn. The atmosphere in her classroom is cool and relaxing. But I also like other subjects. All my subjects are: German, maths, history and geography, technology, physics and chemestry, music education, physical education, French, English, arts and biology. We have a very busy timetable. In Alsace, during the Advent period, everything is lit up : the fir trees, the garlands and the houses are decorated. There is also the Christmas market where you can buy lots of things : salami, jam, Christmas cupcakes, meat, decorations…

At home we celebrate Christams at home, we eat foie gras, chestnuts and fries. We open the gifts on the evening of December 24. We buy a tree that we put in the living room, my cat loves playing with it. During the Christmas period? We also go to the Christmas market to buy salami.

For Carnival, we often have to go other cities to celebrate because back home, there aren’t many Carnival activities. So we go somewhere else, there is a parade and they send us candy or chocolate. Otherwise, we can sometimes dress up at school.

For Mardi Gras, we eat donuts, waffles or pancakes.

Another holiday that I like is Easter because we receive small gifts and chocolate.

During my next vacation, I will ony sleep, play video games and do my homeworks.

My favorite subjects are french because I find it interesting even if some people find it strange in the class. I also like maths because I love using my brain and calculating, above all I find it interesting and I like sport, it allows you to let off steam and have fun.

As my parents are separated, I was first with my father and then with my mother.

At Christmas, I went to Paris to see my best friend Amelie. We watched movies and ate popcorn and hot chocolate, and made m&ms cookies together because we love baking! You too?

On New Year's Eve, I was at my grandparents' in Germany. It's about five to six hours' drive from my home. I go skiing there, because there's lots of snow. I had a great Christmas and got lots of presents. I also turned 13 on January 11, 2024!

In Alsace the Christmas festivities are very important. Practically every village has a Christmas market and the villages are all decorated and lit up.

Where I come from, Christmas is a time for the whole family to get together and enjoy each other's company.

In February we celebrate Carnival and there's a cavalcade where everyone dresses up. On Shrove Tuesday we usually come to school dressed up. The culinary tradition at carnival is the donut. I love it....but I don't like dressing up.

Christmas is my favourite because it's a time for sharing and getting together.

On 24 February we'll be on holiday for 2 weeks. At the moment, I don't know what I'll be doing as we're not going skiing this year. My dad has a very important job and he can't get away.

In my family, we go to my grandparents' on Christmas Eve and take dinner there with my grandparents, my aunt and uncle and my cousins.

We always put the Christmas presents under the decorated Christmas tree.

When dinner is finished, we have time to play with my cousins. This is my favourite moment, I really enjoy spending time and playing with my cousins Erine and Lucile.

Then at midnight, we celebrate my dad's birthday.

In February, people celebrate Carnival in my region. In my family, we don't do anything special for Carnival, except that we bake donuts with a special family recipe from my great grandmother.

My Christmas was very great, everybody from my family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦came to Wissembourg to celebrate Christmas in our House. I got very nice stuff 🎁: You know I am a Lego Star Wars fan and I got the Mos Eisley Cantina and some battle packs😁 (do you now that?) I also got some very nice sneakers👟. What did you get? (You also like Star Wars?). Here in Alsace we have lots of different customs, for example we have the „marché de Noel“, it is a market with stalls in the city center where you can eat 🌮or drink 🍹tasty things like the „Glühwein“🍷(hot wine with flavors) or „Bratwurst“🌭 (sausage). In the German lesson I had the task to explain the Christmas customs in the USA 🇺🇸 , do you also have something like a Christmas Pickle 🥒for the tree? After celebrating Christmas, my parents surprised me and say : „We go to the Maldives 🏝️to celebrate New Year 🎊!!!“. It was a very long journey (like 12 hours flight 🥱). We spent fantastic days with our friends and having fun : snorkeling, enjoying the beach and also getting sunburn🙃. The 31st of December we had a nice pool party and everyone jumped with their clothes in the pool 😜 and we had a big firework 🎇 , it was very funny 😆. How did you spend the New Year’s Eve? Now I am back at school 🏫, the weather is cold 🥶, but no snow❄️ in the moment. What is your favourite subject in school? Mines are Maths 🧮 and Sports 🏈.
