In the movie Ape Genius a baby monkey (that was fake) dies in the forrest. Instead of acting like nothing happened, the Chimps actually mourn the loss of the baby which exemplifies empathy in chimps. This social interaction shows that there are many social studies aspects that are related to Psychology and behavior

In the puzzle box experiment, the Monkeys had to do a ritual of steps to get a prize at the end. They had the turn the wheel, pull the lever and retrieve the grape. This experiment shows how Psychology can be a science because the behavior of the monkey's was proven through scientific methods.

In the experiment, an Ape was taught through rigorous instruction the numbers 1 through 9. During the experiment, the Ape Ay, pointed to numbers in ascending order. This shows the Apes ability to learn and comprehend human behaviors. In my opinion, this experiment constitutes as a Science due to the intense observations and rigorous observations.

By definition, Social Studies are "various aspects or branches of the study of human society, considered as an educational discipline." This definition is the perfect fit for the cooperation experiment. In this experiment, the Bonabos had to work together in order to retrieve a prize. The Bonabo's ability to interact with one another, which was observed by the scientist, shows how psychology can be a social study.

Psych is both a science and social study because it mixed the two in a psychological cocktail. Not only does Psych rely on the scientific aspects such as experiments and observations, it also relied heavily on the interactions between people. This signifies that the mix of social studies and science makes Psychology.
