Question 1. Where does the character specifically encounter the conflict?
Stanley faces the problem in 2 settings 1 at home when he sal the shoes falling from the sky. He picked up the shoes and ran home to show his father, then the cops pull him over and ask him why he is running? He said he needed to get the get the shoes to his father because they could be good for his invention. That is when they old him that the shoes where stolen and that they are worth a lot of money. He gets wrongly accused of steeling and has to get send to camp green lake. He faces the problem with society when he gets to meet his idol (the baseball player) and that the baseball player hates him. And he also has a bed repetition with the government.

Stanley deals with conflict in a responsible way. Stanley is kind and helps take the blame for things he knows cannot change. Stanley is very responsible and is a good friend everyone needs.

He encounters these events well he is the camp and well he is digging. He ended having conflict with a few boys and the leader Mr.Sir after he found sunflower seeds in Stanley’s hole.

Why are they digging holes? To find something? To make a better character? Right now in the book zero ran of with Stanley and they have been running away for days. Mr.sir said they could run away, he wouldn’t stop him, but they wouldn’t get water for 100 miles.  They are at the big thumb camping out for a couple of days while Zero/ Hector is recovering from being ill on the way. All they found is onions and a little bit of water. Then he starts to meet the other boys x ray who is the leader of the group, armpit who is like x rays sidekick, zero who likes digging holes but isn’t to smart. At the camp every day they wake up at 4:30 in the morning and dig 5 foot by 5 feet holes. Then later on you get introduced to the warden who is is very shady and mysterious she doesn’t talk much, we have been seeing her more often ever since Stanley found a lipstick container. One then zero runs away and finally after 4 days Stanley goes looking for him. He finds him at the top of a mountain in a old boat. And Stanley is trying to convince zero to come back to camp. At camp Green Lake you have to wake up at 4:30 AM every single day to start digging a hole that is 5 feet deep by 5 feet wide and you have to do that until you get out. Can scream like has no water so every once in a while a water truck comes to give them water. If somebody escape there is nothing near camp green lake for hundreds of miles so it is basically impossible to escape camp Green Lake. One day X-ray toke it to far he kept pushing a cookie up to his mouth repeating eat the cookie and I’ll dig your hole. Tell he was in top of Stanley hitting his face against the ground as the consoler was yelling stop. Zero pulled him off and starts to choke x-ray. The consoler sets off  his gun to bring the others to come help but by then the fight had ended. The toke zero and the others left he didn’t know were they toke him and were he went. Almost week passed as a new kid came and toke zeros spot the kids named him twitch because he always twitched. He had to go to camp green lake for stealing a car. As the campers were digging  Stanley  got the idea to steal the car as the water truck came to look for zero. He steeped out of line to find himself about to grab the keys and start it. He pushed the engine down it made a sound but didn’t move then twitched yelled but it in drive.
