My name is Joseph and it comes from Hebrew, which means "God Shall Add". Although I like the meaning of my name, I don't like the name itself. I think my mom chose the name Joseph because she likes the French language and accent, and the name is common in French.

I don't think it suits me well because I prefer shorter names. Some people also say that my name doesn't match my looks.

Song 1: "But im a creep, im a weirdo. What the hell am i doing here?, I don't belong here."

In my old hometown Lompoc CA I was bullied because I had like 4 warts on my hand. Some kids made fun of me and called me " Creep " differencing & Distancing them from me. To the point where I told my dad crying. He offered a solution that was the best plan ever. To move to LA, I lived with my mom in Lompoc at the time they were separated.

My family makes tamales on holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving or New Years. It's our cultural food and we will always have some in our fridge no matter what day, month or year. This food is most definitely part of my culture or identity because my body is probably 60% Tamale.

I mainly wear baggier clothing and I would wear accessories like chains or rings etc but the area I live in I cant really do that because there is a chance I could get robbed or something which will put me in unnecessary danger. I don't think my clothing would be a part of my culture because my culture doesn't wear what I wear. The only thing I would consider that I wear that could be considered part of my culture is the chain I used to wear that had a cross.

2 Quotes "Tomorrow isn't promised live today til the fullest" & "Be Ready So you don't have to get ready" I live by both of these quotes because they mean a lot To me especially the first one because my grandpa said it to me the same day he passed away. And the second one is said to me each time I get in trouble and I've been getting in trouble LESS because of that quote. Both of these help me get through my days and hardships these quotes are one of the main reasons I am who I am today.

My hero would most definitely be my dad. Hes always there for me even when I'm in the wrong. He'll always steer me into the right direction even when he had his hardships he'd attend to me it's like he always prioritized me over himself. He encourages me to do be and be a better person day by day. He's the main reason I want to be an electrical engineer because he's also one. I am extremely thankful for everything he's done and the support he's offering to give me in the future. I remember he said "Joey when u go to college I want it to be an enjoyable experience for you, if you need to get into debt get into debt I'll handle it".

In my culture, we celebrate Christmas a little bit differently. We open presents the day before at night of the actual Christmas day. And we make a TON of food so the next days coming up we can still somewhat celebrate it. we also think of Christmas as the Day Christ was born.

Also for the Day of the Dead, we go to our loved one's graves and celebrate there Take flowers, food and you can't forget beer. We spend the majority of the day there and leave until they close.

In my household, the majority of my family members speak Spanish because of where they're from. I don't speak Spanish much or fluently but i'm able to speak it when necessary. It's part of my culture because my parents are both from Mexico and they speak Spanish over there. So the Spanish language is definitely a part of my culture.
