Hello, This is Richard Harriman. I work at Central Middle School Grades 6 - 8 in Corinth, Maine. We currently are using Chrome Books as our biggest technology device. We have an average of 90 students per grade.
All the 7th and 8th grade students are assigned their own Chome Book and carry them from class to class. The 6th grade students have access to a chart of 24 Chrome Books on a recharging chart in 4 grade 6 classrooms. Each teacher has their own Chrome Book and a Smartboard in their room. Students use their Chrome Books to create presentations, spreadsheets, documents, websites and use the internet to research a given topic that are assigned by their teacher.
In our library/media center we have 20 ipads, 6 VCR mobile carts, 6 digital cameras, 3 camcorders and numerous ebooks that are available for teachers or students to use for educational purposes.
