For me, it makes me happy, why? because when the hard times come or a very tiring day, I try to browse my social media and see the messages of my friends, any happy memes or thoughts make me feel better. I guess social media give me a vibe that can make me happy. 🥰

Social media makes me happier as it is one of my coping mechanisms when I feel sad or upset. I use social media to entertain myself or to keep myself busy whenever I am sad. Also, social media helps me connect with people that help me get through the problems that I face.

For me, social media will make me sadder unlike before, as I remembered in the past social media gave me genuine reactions, and my newsfeed have full of encouragement and enlightening advice/post. Maybe now there still have a few pieces of advice/posts that can make me feel better and okay again as I read those, but sometimes it's not. Maybe because we're surrounded by a toxic society that will actually continue to ruin us.

For me, it's a mixture of both. It's sad because you get to see cruel things happening in the world in real-time as well as the gruesome news of unfortunate events that happen from all over the world, which affects my mental health negatively. On the brighter side, being someone who is far from their family and friends, social media is our platform of communication, wherein at times of woe and longing for your loved ones from afar, it's made it a lot easier to connect with them.

In my own experience, it is more likely two sides of the same coin for me-- both happy and sad. But moreover, it became essential to my daily lifestyle of using social media because it connects me through everything like communication with other people, gaining thoughts and experiences through something or maybe someone online, having entertainment, and much more.

Though it may have some other bad issues having social media, for me without social media it would not be easier for us to connect more or to share more about something that would benefit our lifestyle.

For me, it makes me feel both happy and sad. Nowadays, social media is in our daily lives and we cannot remove it. It makes me happy because I have all access to my daily life in every situation. Most of the time, social media makes me feel sad because it can bring back my anxiety and depression because of what I saw on my newsfeed and some people are very insensitive to what they post.

Social media has become a daily staple in our lives. We live through the experiences of what others post, which are typically the most exciting and interesting parts of their lives. This leads us to the question of whether social media makes you happier or sadder. The simplest answer may be, “it depends on how you use it.” Only time will tell if social media makes us happier or sadder. However, one thing is certain: social media is not going away anytime soon. So it’s a good idea to learn to live with it and maybe even thrive with it.
