1. I think the best part was that P.V Sindhu won a medal for the second time in a row in the Tokyo Olympics.

2. During the men’s 800-meter semifinal race, Botswana’s Nijel Amos accidentally tripped USA’s Isaiah Jewett, who was in third place at the time. Both of the athletes fell down, and could not participate any more in the Olympics this year.

But Instead of being angry, Isaiah reached down and helped his opponent up! I think this is best moment since Isiah was not angry and instead helped the opponent up, which shows how sportsmanship he has.

In the past few Olympics, I have seen Simone Biles play for America and won medals. Her skill and technique is impeccable and astonishing. Like many people, I was looking forward to seeing her compete in the gymnastics Tokyo Olympics this year, but due to a medical injury she had to pull out. Being on the Olympics puts you under extreme pressure, to do well and to make your country, family, and everyone cheering for you proud. Simone was training but under the pressure, lost her memory of how to do some exercises which could lead to a fatal injury. If you forget how to catch on in mid air you could risk never being able to compete again. Physically, Simone was fit and ready to go- but mentally she was unable to pull herself together, she is only 24 years old. So I decided who better to write about than PV Sindhu herself!

Lets talk about her various accomplishments:

1) She won a silver in the 2016 Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She lost only to Carolina Marin, one of Sindhu’s fiercest rivals on the international circuit.

2) She has won a huge umber of national awards, 3rd (lesser than) place only to the Padma Shri in 2015 and Padma Bhushan in 2020 respectively.

3) She is the Second female athlete to win five or more medals at World Championships. Apart from winning the gold in 2019, She is only second to Zhang Ning of China for winning five or more medals at the World Championships.

In addition to her gold in 2019, she has won two bronze medals in 2013 and 2014 & two silver medals 2017 and 2018, respectively.

4) She won a silver in the 2018 Asian games. PV Sindhu has won several medals in many international meets such as the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games. One of her most notable wins was the silver medal in the 2018 Asian Games, held in Jakarta.

5) She won Gold in 2019 World Championships. PV Sindhu won the gold medal at the BWF World Championships in Switzerland held in 2019. She defeated a strong Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in straight games by a score of 21-7, 21-7 to grab the title.

Needless to say, she is an amazing player, and a big Idol to future generations.
