The rule I chose is rule number 1. An example of breaking a rule would be using social media to spread rumors about people. This causes mental harm, instead of physical harm. This is important because we all need to respect and be kind to each other, whether we want to or not. A fair consequence would either be a detention or removal of computer privileges for the remainder of the week. I think people violate this rule because they either want to look cool or they don't realize they're doing so.
https://kiarielove.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/cyberbullying.jpg

The rule we got was rule number 7. An example of breaking this rule would be using someone else's phone to check snapchat without permission. This would hurt the person because if you did something illegal it would be traced back to that device. If it was not your computer, than someone else would pay for your actions. A fair consequence would be writing a full letter of apology to the person, as well as a ban on computer usage. I think people violate this rule because they are either too lazy to use their own computer or they want to get revenge on someone.

http://slideplayer.com/252210/1/images/7/Computer+Misuse+Act+The+Computer+Misuse+Act+is+a+law+to+stop+people+viewing+others%E2%80%99+private+information.+It+has+three+main+laws%3A.jpg

Rule #5 is about creating facts about a thing that is false. An example of breaking our is saying false information about another person or thing that is actually false like, photoshopping someone else and make them look completely different and spread rumors about that person. This rule is important since it can help other people so they don't have to be a victim of false information or witness. A fair consequence is just to clear things up for the person and change the false information and correct it. If this was in school they could possibly have a lunch detention. We think people break this rule because they really don't like the person they are doing this to and feel like they want to have revenge or hurt the person.

https://docs.google.com/a/pvsd.org/presentation/d/1oMGRRSfoUs156TiCTo-o-2BOPwwltNcTOZktLoLdA-k/edit?usp=sharing
^
A picture for our rule!

Rule number one is Thou salt not use a computer to harm other people. One example of breaking this rule is using certain websites or apps to critique and judge a person, or several people. The harm that this can cause is on going, and it's important to remember to respect other people, and ourselves. A fair consequence would be Detention, ISS, or no computer privileges until "further notice". It's important that everyone is treated with respect, and there needs to be consequences if that doesn't happen. People might violate this because they feel as though they don' t have any control in their own life, so they try to control someone else.

The rule I received was rule number 3. This rule states "Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's computer files".This is a very important rule and can occur if a hacker were to log into your email address. Doing this can result in serious consequences with the law. This rule is important because people have private information in their computers and random people (including family) snooping around it is breaking laws and damaging their human rights. A fair consequence to the breaking of this rule is a detention. Even though there are consequences, people still break the rule.

2. Let's say you want to have adobe Photoshop, but you don't want to pay $30 a month. You could torrent it on a website like The Pirate Bay and have to pay no money.
3.This is an important rule to follow because buying a pirated copy is basically akin to stealing.
4.People pirating software are hard to find, so you can't really enforce a consequence. But some software isn't safe and can put viruses on your computers, and that could be a consequence.

5. There are a lot of excuses for people pirating. For example, a common argument for this is I'm too poor. But very few arguments are morally justified.
http://www.unixstickers.com/image/cache/data/stickers/pirate%20bay/The-Pirate-Bay-wo-logotype-black.sh-600x600.png
