Even after begging, Titania refuses to let Oberon take the child, showing her headstrong nature and the way she sticks to her beliefs. She is saying that she wouldn't give in if it cost her the entire kingdom. Titania speaks to Oberon and tells him that she will not give up the child because she knew had a close relationship with his mother, and will not just let Oberon use him for personal gain. Titania and Oberon have a toxic relationship, each fighting continuously, and Oberon even plotting to have Titania fall in love with a beast. Their fighting brings light to how the fairies connect to the world of the humans. The conflict between Oberon and Titania causes Oberon to take extreme measures and make Titania fall in love with a beast. He plans to use a nectar that makes anyone fall in love with the first person they see after waking. He does this in hopes of attaining the boy which he fights Titania for.
