The borders of the site are unusual. Like shiny, and red. C stands for Color. The color becomes uneven. The color isn't the same throughout the site. And lastly, D stands for Diameter.

Nodular Melanoma is usually first detected when going to the doctor. It is the most common type of melanoma . The site is recognized when it becomes a bump. It is usually black, but could be blue, gray, white, brown, tan, red or even skin tone. It is located in the basal layer of the epidermis. The layer is at the bottom of the epidermis and the melanocytes produce melanin which creates pigment. The more melanin the darker your skin.
