This is relevant today in the black community because some people think we dont respect ourselves. In some cases respect has been shoved to the side but that is also because of how were are portrayed in media. We respect ourselves but from the outside view, people may think we dont.

This is absolutely still relevant because in this world, there are so many people who struggle with self love, but it's effortless to love others. Loving yourself is so important because how can you love others properly if you don't know how to love yourself?

I feel like this quote is relevant in the black community, especially recently. I always see Black women uplifting each other and black women ownining what they do and everything about themselves. However, outside of the black community there's a clear lack of respect for the struggle back women go through.

This is very relevant to the black community because black people struggle the most with self confidence and self respect because of all of the stereotypes put on us and all the hate toward us. From the moment were born we have a target on our back. We have never been giving respect so its hard to give it to yourself because you don't know what it feels like.

Many people have the wrong picture of the black community because they are portrayed badly.
