Hi everyone, welcome to my padlet!

For this activity I would like you to list words that reflect on building a positive emotional environment for children. You can also explain a positive experience with a child you have had! I'll go first:
While working in a coop program at Falgarwood Public School, I would ensure to allow children to express their feelings whether positive or negative, and be a support system for them.

One positive experience I can share is when I was attending my co-op placement in a kindergarten classroom, there was this one little boy I will never forget...everyday after accomplishing his task at his designated centre, whether it be drawing, building blocks, linked cubes...he would come up to me and ask me "Miss' G! Do you like what in made today?" and it would make me smile and happy because it went to prove to me that every time I would tell him in detail what I loved about his work, he would try and improve even more the next time and still share it with me. This is because I was there to support his accomplishments and allow him to know I was there to listen and motivate him to continue to use his skills in everything he did in the classroom. Just being there to support him and see the joy in his face really went to show a positive experience to a child means a lot even if their simple things
