A good decision is usally made when it is well thought out and you have asked yourself many questions about the possible outcomes. Most bad decisions are made when teens act quickly and on peer pressure. Also television adn media can impact what young people attach behaviors to. An example is young guys think its cool to drive fast when you are with your friends but it can actually be very dangerous. Many times it takes courage from teens to stand up to peers and tell them its wrong and can be dangerous to all of them.

My cousin in Texas though it would be cool to drive really fast on his way to work because its cool and he was running a few minutes late on his way to work. He ran over a squirrel when he was driving through his neighborhood and then later got a speeding ticket when he was getting close to his work. He noticed the squirrel laying in the road later on his way home and felt very bad as he saw it for a second time. His parents made him pay for the ticket and he had to tell them he also killed a squirrel before the ticket.

Why Teens are involved in such activities

Teens take more risks then others because they love how exciting they can be if they succeed and survive through what they are doing. Also teens brains are still developing and one of the parts is the part that assists on decision making. Another factor that may lead to risky behaviors is peer pressure. Most everyone wants to fit in and be liked by all those around them so it's hard to not want to act like all your friends and to not do what they want you to do. But peer pressure can also get you to come out of your comfort zone and learn new things that you could have possibly not known if you hadn't taken the leap of faith.
