He ran over a squirrel when he was driving through his neighborhood and then later got a speeding ticket when he was getting close to his work. He noticed the squirrel laying in the road later on his way home and felt very bad as he saw it for a second time. Also teens brains are still developing and one of the parts is the part that assists on decision making. Another factor that may lead to risky behaviors is peer pressure. Most everyone wants to fit in and be liked by all those around them so it's hard to not want to act like all your friends and to not do what they want you to do.
