The Yooks and the Zooks are at battle. Then the backroom-boys came up with gadges and they kept gettting newer. their goal was to destroy the other group of people.
3.)We think the story is about the segeration of blacks and whites. Even tho the sides were different they fought each other because they were not alike. In their minds they treated each other differently just for acting a different way.
4.) This book is about anti-war and arms races and nuclear weapons. They just wanted to do what they felt was right to them. The destruction of the other group was more important to them than communitacting and working things out

He didn't care who he hurt on the way.

I feel that this story is a reference to the holocaust. The king turtle did not care who he hurt in the process of getting to the top. He would command that the other turtles that were "lower" than him to stack up so that he could see more on his thrown. This is like the holocaust when Hitler killed all the Jews because they were "lower" than the Germans.
When I did my research most people said that the story represented the same things that I said it did. They said that it was like when Hitler wanted to rule all of Germany and surrounding areas.

There was an elephant splashing in the water and he heard a small noise. There was a bunch of dust and he called for the mayor.

i think the book is telling about about the bombing that the Japanese did on pearl harbor. in the book the elephant heard a noise that would be just like the bomb. the time described in the book is very similar to the time that the bombing occurred. the dedication in the beginning is also to a Japanese.

The true meaning of it is that the Japanese-american people were considered a threat in WWII. They put them in a camp and the jungle animals in the story represent the people put in the camps.

Some sneetches had stars on there belly's and some didn't the ones with stars made fun of the ones who didn't have stars. so Sylvester Mcmonkey Mcbean came up with a machine to put stars on the sneetches who did not have stars then the original star belly'd sneetches got angry so Mcbean came up with a machine to take their stars off. all the sneetches argued and they continually went through the mach one and spent all there money and Mcbean had made out with all there money but the sneetches didn't care and they all got along

Luke and I think the undertone is racial segregation. we think his because some sneetches have stars others done and the ones who don't wanna be like the ones with stars then back and forth the true meaning is racial segregation. Yes we did portray the meaning of the book.
