Although it was over 10 years ago it was the most memorable and amazing experience of my life. I remember the first day we walked around downtown Disney and my sister and I got our hair done like princesses and we had brunch with the princesses and some other Disney characters. I wore my Cinderella gown with my glass slippers and hair and makeup all done. After brunch I remember walking around the park, our family got lost and we saw a man who worked at the park. My mom went up to him and asked him for directions to splash mountain. he gave us not only directions but an invitation, we were invited to be Walt Disney World's Family of the Day. It was incredible! We were asked to meet at the front gate the next day at 8 am, When we got to the gate another a red little red buggy cart picked us up and on the seats were 4 gold mickey mouse hats with each of our names in white engraved in cursive on the back. I remember My mom started to cry because Disney asked MY FAMILY to lead the whole entire parade! I remember them saying our name on a loud speaker to the entire park "Please welcome Walt Disney World's Family of the day The Lenenfeld Family!" Millions of People were taking pictures of us and I felt like a celebrity. Camp Edwards Summer Camp has taught me not only how to be a respectful and independent person but also to never stop trying to accomplish my goals. I overcame many fears at camp and it has helped me become a stronger human being. Camp Edwards YMCA camp is an amazing experience for anyone as young as 8 years old to 17 years old. There are so many activities campers can do like Rock climbing, zip-lining, Swimming, Banana boating, kayaking, archery, dancing, nature, learn survival skills, and other fun outdoor activities. I've met some incredible people at camp who are now some of my best friends.
