Encouraging Staff to Ask For Help

Everyone has so much on their plate but it is important to ask for help when you are feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. I try and encourage those I work with in Administration to ask for help and not think they have to do it all, we are in this together and together we will get through it.

Manageable Workloads

I feel like delegation is key in this area and I need to be more proactive in that practice. My goal would be to work on my delegating and encourage those I work with to do the same. It will help our sanity!

My strengths are making sure positive moments are shared and to problem solve issues as a team. I feel like if we can not solve a simple problem we can never conquor bigger ones. I feel like this is a big Strength at our center.

My goal is to set more manageable work loads. Alot of times employees complain when they get extra kids in the classrooms or if numbers increase. The issue is payroll and profit. I want them to be HAPPY but at the same time we have to make a profit and it is a very hard balance.

MY strategies to fix this is to hopefully keep a better mental note of the morale and numbers. I will explain to my employees the reasons why and try to understand and meet their needs. I hope this is a win for everyone. I will listen to their feed back about the numbers and additional kids in their rooms and see what we can do as a team to correct the issue.

I am open to new ideas. I am the director/vpk teacher but I don’t want to seem controlling or as if the teacher input doesn’t matter. I welcome the ideas and allow them to implement them as well. I want them to feel equal
