To sum up , some shoplifters are forced to steal because of poverty.

Essay
Many opinion says that if young offenders commit serious crime, they should be sent to an army camp instead of being sent to prison. In my opinion, this punishment is a better solution to the country.
In army camp, the juvenile justice system normally aims to rehabilitate juvenile offenders rather than punish them. Furthermore, it is common for juvenile crimes to be remedied using an alternative sentencing option rather than jail time. Besides that, rehabilitation courses can be put through in an army camp. In the other hand, prison often works the other way, the young offenders will be treated badly and face even worse situations. In consequence, they will face difficulties in integrating into society and prevent them from re-socializing with others people when they leave the prison. As a result, they will commit more crimes and come back to the prison again.
In addition, for young people that on a first offense like not malicious and violent should be given chance because the army camp may be exactly what they need to change their life around. It can teach them to be discipline, a sense of belonging and a training that can take on to a life after the camp.
On the flip side, any punishment that been made from the law should attempt to correct whatever drove the offender to crime rather than trying to convince them that crime is bad. Thus , they should focus on bringing out their strengths that will allow them to work in society. An army camp could helping young people that have personalities that lend themselves to success in military. The army camp can help them to find their skills and give them guide what to do in military. But as we know , not everyone is tend to like the army service, some of the young offenders might not last a day in army camp. Perhaps , an academic or sports focused program would suit them better.
In conclusion, sending young criminals to an army camp can help them to become a better person that teach them about learning respect and a place where they learn to contributing to the country than sending them to prison that will set them up for failure and puts them with adults who will only teach them more bad things and make them get into troubles when they are out.
