According to ABC-Clio, it states," Since World War I, Turkey, Iran, and Iraq have put down many major Kurdish uprisings. Armenians in northern Iraq revolted in 1961".The Armenians have been creating trouble with Turkey,Iran and Iraq. According to Genocide refuges.com, it states,as tensions between the Kurdish population and the Turkish government had been growing since the formation of the Kurdistan Workers party (PKK) in the early 1980s. Many aspects of Kurdish culture, including specific organizations and the Kurdish language, had been banned in Turkey since the 1920s". Turkish government has always had anger against the Kurds and it finally broke out. According to the book Genocide in Armenia, it states," The Ottoman Turkish government asked Armenia to engage in secret operations across the Russia border. As a reward for their service, the Armenians would be given additional land for there service. According to the American National Institute, it states,"the Armenian population was ordered deported from their homes. Convoys consisting of tens of thousands including men, women, and children were driven hundreds of miles toward the Syrian desert".They were striped of there rights. According to the American national Institute, it states,"The genocidal intent of the CUP measures was also evidenced by the mass killings that accompanied the deportations. Earlier, Armenian soldiers in the Ottoman forces had been disarmed and either worked to death in labor battalions or outright executed in small batches".There human rights were taken away and were treated like animals.According to the website Armenian genocide, it says,"These killing squads drowned people in rivers, threw them off cliffs, crucified them and burned them alive. The Turkish countryside was soon littered with Armenian corpses. During this “Turkification”campaign, government squads also kidnapped young Armenian children and gave them to Turkish families. Muslim families moved into the empty homes of Armenians and seized their property".There land was pillaged and there family's were separated.
