From Central Park to 5th Avenue is about one minute by walking. The park is really wide. From the top of the park to the bottom of the park is 2 hours on foot. People who like snow should go to Central Park. It’s cold, but it’s pretty. I often meet friends at Central Park.

People shop on 5th Avenue. 5th Avenue clothes stores are very big. Every year, I go shopping at 5th Avenue with my grandma. My grandma is good at shopping. During Christmas time, 5th Avenue is too busy. So, we wait until spring.

My favorite dumpling restaurant is in Manhattan. You can go to the restaurant by Subway. From Grand Central Station to the restaurant is about 15 minutes on foot. I can’t drive, but New York’s Subway is good. And very easy. In 2019, I went to the dumpling restaurant with my mother. There were many dumplings. They were so delicious.

The New York Library is also cheap. There are many books. At the library, students read and do homework. New York library has many floors. On the first floor there’s a store. On the second floor there’s only books. And the third floor has chairs. There, you can rest.

NYC has many museums. Museums are very cheap, so students like it. I go to museums in order to look at art. The AMNH in Manhattan is my favorite. The Hayden Planetarium is inside the AMNH. Last summer, I went (to the planetarium) with a friend by subway. And there are many restaurants next to the museum. 

When I was in middle school, I went to the Statue of Liberty by boat. The Statue of Liberty is at Ember Island. In 2011, middle school students went to Ember Island to learn about New York history. However, these days you can’t go to Ember Island. At the Statue of Liberty, there was a store that sold hats and pens. Next year, I wish that middle school students go to the Statue of Liberty with their class.

NYU is also in Manhattan. I’m not a NYU student, but in 2017 I took an English class at NYU. I always wanted to study at NYU, so I hope to be a graduate student there. At NYU, New York City is your campus. NYU’s campus is next to Washington Park, so one can frequently take walks. In the fall, Washington Park is very pretty. There are many trees.
