Cooking

Another thing that I do is cook, I find cooking to be something incredibly relaxing and helps me become more creative with the food I make, I also love cooking because it feels great serving the people I love.

Running

I actually started getting into running as a way to get close to my kuya, and even as he left for manila I continued to run not just for my health physically but as a way to help me grow mentally because of how much it has taught me, those being discipline, resilience, and being goal oriented. These allowed me to keep chasing improvement not just in running but in my life as a whole.

Piano

I have been playing the piano for what feels like an eternity now, sorry po oa but Ive been playing the piano for almost a decade and have played in multiple recitals. I currently have 2 teachers one for chords and music theory for music production and understanding music as a language, and the other a classical music teacher who taught me the different classical techniques and reading sheet music like it was another type of dialect. I love the piano so much and without it I would have never learned how to play the bass.

Bass

The bass is something I just picked up this year but its already worked its way into the bellows of my heart. The bass is something that I love because it adds the flavor into the music, it is also the instrument that allowed me to understand what jamming was and how to be confident while playing with other vocalists or instrumentalists.

I love watching anime, I am currently watching one piece but I try keeping up with all the latest anime releases and mangas to try and relate with my peers. I love how relatable the development of most of the characters are and how the story arcs teach you real life lessons.

But ive been gaming for a decade now ever since I was introduced to it by my Kuya. I love experiencing new things whether it be with friends, I used to just explore around malls and hotels with friends but as I got older I started going to parties, concerts, and other places in Davao that I never knew existed until I started becoming more adventurous.

Travelling

I love travelling, something about experiencing new places and indulging into the different cultures of the world is something I hold dear. Seeing the locals, trying their food, the local traditions and activities, even their modes of transportation are amazing to experience and teaches me so much about the world and how we must appreciate every culture for the diversity and uniqueness it brings to the world.

Swimming

UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE NO PHOTOS OF ME IN A POOL IM SO SORRY, but I love swimming. Swimming is something Ive been doing since I was around 8 and it helped me with my asthma, however, as I kept swimming I started loving it as a way to move my body and the water always makes me end up feeling fresh at the end.

Chess is another hobby that I started around last year, doing puzzles and playing with others is almost similar to cards but instead it allows me to look into back up plans, thinking 2-3 steps ahead, and always being ahead of your opponent.

This post goes out to my other family, the class of 2022 - 2024, the class of Xavier. This class was filled with people I was classmates with all the way back to grade school and the majority stuck with each other for 3-4 years. But ignoring the technical stuff, Xavier was a class that became my home and a second family, even though we mostly are apart now in Senior High they became a group that will always have my back no matter what. They became my family and I will never forget the impact they have had in my life because Xavier taught me so much and Ill never forget them.

Reflection: Why do I like these media?

I appreciate the various media platforms for boosting my productivity, sharing my life experiences, and informing me about current events. These tools enable me to fulfill my responsibilities as a global citizen and contribute positively to the well-being of others. I get updates from social networks, such as Facebook, through which one stays updated with rain forecasts or class timetables to become organized for the day. On Instagram, I share short videos of my story, giving advice and motivational quotes to keep moving forward, trying to achieve discipline in my audience, and encouraging them to improve. In addition, platforms like text messaging and Google Docs streamline my workflow, allowing me to complete tasks efficiently and make time for my hobbies and interests. Aware that each medium caters to specific purposes and bridges creators worldwide, I promise to use the digital responsibly by evaluating and filtering out unhealthy or misleading information. I ensure positive and meaningful engagement with the media through such a careful approach.

These media influence me by changing my perspective on the world and the goals and ambitions I chase. These media outlets influence me by showing me whats worth it in my own perspective and inform me of information from multiple perspectives that aid me in creating my own unique perspective of the world and the current events unfolding today. Personally, it is healthy for me but not healthy for others therefore making my answer a yes and a no. I find it helpful because with the right perspective and mindset, media can become a proper tool that helps you see the whole picture and aid you in creating an objectively right perspective on yourself, your goals and ambitions, people, and the world as a whole. However, it can become a curse for others because it can lead them to be biased and discriminate between others because of a perspective that they heard from the media. We must change this by piercing the media through the use of proper algorithm manipulation techniques that allow people to see the truth of how to use media in their daily lives.
