They said that art is anything that makes you feel emotions and that resonated with me. I ended up sitting there for awhile just studying the Piece, wondering what the artist was thinking when creating it. When I was around 3 or 4, one of my favorite things to do was painting or drawing pictures. This was when art first spoke to me. They had a Rembrandt Originals collection there, and I was amazed at how well preserved the paintings were. Seeing his paintings really made me much more interested in art because I feel like art shows more about a society than history books do.  You can connect with people from the past through art, even though you have completely different life experiences, and that is the same for people you meet in present day. Seeing the portrayal of nature and people throughout the centuries is very interesting as well because you can see how much the artist cared about their subject, and you can feel emotions flowing through the painting.
