I ended up sitting there for awhile just studying the Piece, wondering what the artist was thinking when creating it. It displayed the changing of seasons which I believe is very meaningful and can be translated in many different ways such as the changing of emotions.

Art is important because it can show emotion in a unique way that sometimes can’t be spoken. I’ve always thought art was either made for fun or made with expression purposefully. I used to have my dance recitals in the joslyn art museum and seeing the art pieces there as I walked to the dressing rooms was really mesmerizing, especially when I was little.

They had a Rembrandt Originals collection there, and I was amazed at how well preserved the paintings were. Seeing his paintings really made me much more interested in art because I feel like art shows more about a society than history books do. You can connect with people from the past through art, even though you have completely different life experiences, and that is the same for people you meet in present day. Seeing the portrayal of nature and people throughout the centuries is very interesting as well because you can see how much the artist cared about their subject, and you can feel emotions flowing through the painting.
