It was not until episode 12 that I had my first thought that there was another suspect. The entire time I thought if Adnan didn’t do it then who did?Sarah mentioned a one liner in the final episode that finally gave me another suspect. She said “Don says he loved Hae, that he still loves her, it’s not something that goes away he said. Even though they only officially dated for 13 days, he said she meant a lot to him. She was totally unshy, he said, confident. She pursued him, he said. For all of December whenever she saw him at work, he said shed ask him when he was going to take her out, constantly she asked him. This story says that Jay was motivated to put Adnan away because he wanted him out of the picture with him and his girlfriend. This is because he was best friends with his girlfriend Stephine. He could have been jealous that Adnan was best friends with his girl friend. Which resulted in him trying to get in the middle of Hae and Adnans on and off relationship to make Adnan feel jealous. But when he tried to get with Hae she rejected him. This is when he got out of hand with his emotions and killed Hae in Adnan's car with his things. So this way he could frame him and he hired someone else to help him bury her body. When he with the person he hired they began to threaten him and tried to blackmail him into telling on him for what he did. Which is when he decided he would frame Adnan to get him out of the picture and to keep himself safe.

 “It was not until the actual first trial that Adnan’s team knew what the State’s timeline of the murder was.  Imagine then that he had to try and account for his entire day, not knowing when the crime allegedly took place.  Not only that, but the State refused to release the name of the witness and his statements to Gutierrez. The list of ways in which Urick did his best to cripple Adnan’s defense is lengthy…” 

This is essentially saying that Adnan and his lawyer were left in the dark for a majority of the case.

Best Buy is a place which she used to frequent closest to her school on her route without anyone noticeably being around but still not out of the ordinary for her. This meant she would not have thought twice being taken there under some form of coercion or not despite what some might say about her even going there. The podcast sowed suspicion about the timeline that was presented by the state while still not conclusively providing an alternate scene of crime. That and everything around the crime itself points to Best Buy without even taking any of the cell tower evidence or entirety of the testimony.
