Ps 25:1-3 "In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause."

Starting Questions: Where is our hope, our confidence in life? Is our trust in the Lord? Amid the events and trials of life where do we place our hope?

Focusing on what is hope in context of students where they are.

1. Big Prize/Drawing

Worship highlight video of students during service project, worship, small groups etc.

2. Prayer time: focus on small groups praying for each other

4. 2-3 songs (mid to slower paced) *student video testimony time to start worship or in between songs.

5. Teaching time. Focus on the hope He gives as seen in verses 6-9.

6. End teaching time with Objective Illustration:

Use One BIG candle at the front of the room. Youth leader go to candle and light their canlde and then go to a student and light their candle and they then go and light others candles.

7. Then close and dismiss into discussion.
