1. What was your childhood like?
My childhood was nothing like glamorous, I was born into poverty in the French countryside, my father worked as a peddler and my mother was a laundry woman ina Charity hospital. After my mothers death my father put me in a orphange. It wasn't the most plesant place on earth, but as it seems it wasn't a bad thing, because I was rased by nuns who thought me how to sew. 
2. How did your career start? Was it easy to develop as a brand?
 I started off as a shopgirl wich was not so well-paying job, but atleast I got the experience of working there. Then I took a step on the stage and sang in cafés, and did that for a few years. but then I realised that wasn't my cup of tea and I returned as a shopgirl. My career actualy took off when I was associated with wealthy men. one of them was Etienne Balsan who offered me to help with the start with a millinery business in Paris, and the other was Arthur "Boy" Capel who was  the man I left Etienne for and who helped me finalize everything for the business. and because of that it wasn't really hard to start and develop as a brand 
3. What made your designs a staple in every wealthy womens closet?
When i think of luxury clothes I don't think of corsets and giant dresses with too much fabric, I think of luxury with comfort. That's why I created black and white suits for women, and of course the "little black dress" that every woman needs in her life, because not only is it comfortable but also universal for any situation. You have to go out? The little black dress. You have formal meeting to attend? The little black dress. It's  just fantastic.
4.Have you ever had any major scandals that have infected your life or brand?
In the begining of World War II, I had to close down my business. My associations with a German diplomat  tainted my reputation, after the war ended everyone thought I was a bad influnce or a bad rolemodel. I left Paris for few years, but I managed to make a comeback and wow everyone.
5. What made your legacy last so long?
I think it was the fact that clothes were made more easy and comfortable to wear, but still classy and elegant.

I think Coco Chanel is a great rolemodel to just show people that even if you are born in a poor family you still can be famous worldwide and even have fans after your death. 
2. After reading everything she has done and everyhting she has gone through, just shows you can live a long life and get over any dificult times in life.
