To tell you the truth, I don't really like this program. The layout, tools, and overall everything else is very lackluster and basic. However, it is easy to understand and should only be used for minimum editing and drawing. I've used the program before for drawing so I know my way around it. Overall, image editing was easy.

(All I did to the was select the cat and on a separate layer colored the cat green and turned down the opacity)

Something worse than GIMP, would be Pixlr. I had very little to work with when it came to editing and drawing. Hence why the picture is very bare.

(In this image I removed the background, added different colored/ sized lines outlining the dog. Finally, I added black to the dogs eyes)

I had a lot of fun editing pictures with Pixlr Express.

(I used different filters and coloring)

Photoshop was a little hard to understand. I'm still not use to it. Messing around with the settings, layering, coloring, etc. was interesting. This picture as little effort put into it but I think it sums up the basics of Photoshop.

(I added different images as separate layers. Edited each image to my liking. For example, I copied the "James" layer, colored it , moved it and the layer behind the original and turned down the opacity)

The picture was originally hand drawn that I scanned into the computer. Used a tablet to do the rest.

(Self-explanatory)

I used Adobe Illustrator and I don't care for this program. In the program, one of the objects you are able to create are simple shapes as well as warp the shape into something abstract. The room is entirely made out of shapes, mostly square, that have been warped. I was most frustrated with was creating a leaf like shape. If I moved the leaf shape that wasn't left or right, it would distort. Overall, I'm satisfied with the finished product.

(For this image I used basic shapes and warped them into desired form)

Editing a picture was nothing new to me. I've used editing programs before like GIMP, Pixlr, and others not presented here to edit pictures and my drawings. I had mainly used programs like these for editing or drawing my digital art. The challenging aspects of this project was using have very simple programs (Pixlr) to edit raster images. It was difficult for me to create a good looking or interesting picture with something like Pixlr or Picmonkey.

The next challenge was working with Adobe Illustrator. Using the program for only a few days was very painful. Creating shapes was easy, making the shapes complex, interesting, lifelike, etc. however, was a struggle. Many of the shapes when warped would distort when rotated and/or flipped.

Overall, the project was easy and I enjoyed working with the different programs.
