Industry and commerce: Algerian economics have a large emphasis on oil and natural gas. With the government itself owning many factories, mines, banks, farmland, and transportation, around 30% of the population acts as government workers

Religion: The country is practically all Sunni Muslim with religion acting as a connection amongst the people of Algeria and connecting the country itself with other predominantly Muslim countries

Class system: Most Algerians are poor, but the minority of those that hold more money tend to be educated Arabs.
