         <description><![CDATA[<p>Did not become an active missionary religion. it also didn't spread much from its region.  during Alexander the Great's invasion, many temples and sacred writings were destroyed. Many priest were also killed, but Zoroastrianism managed to survive and grow again.</p>]]></description>

It is one of only two festivals mentioned by Zoroaster in the Avesta, the only holy Zoroastrian scriptures written by Zoroaster himself. It is celebrated as a holy day by two religions: Zoroastrianism and the&nbsp;Baha'i Faith. In addition, other Iranians (Persians) also commonly celebrate it as a secular holiday</p>]]></description>

The first sacred Zoroastrian scriptures are written known&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13px;">as the Gathas.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"><b>220 B.C.E-650 C.E</b></span></p><p>Sasanids officially supported Zoroastrians. Later convert and a empire known as the sasanid Zoroastrian empire.</p><p><b>651 C.E</b></p><p>Persecution of Zoroastrians begins after Arab Muslims defeat sasanids.</p><p><b>900 C.E</b></p><p>Zoroastrians start escaping persecution by migrating to India.</p><p><b>1381 C.E-1979</b></p><p>Persecuted by many and forces to convert in Iran and Afghanistan.</p>]]></description>
